Apparently we have 2 silent commits.l, according to what our coaches told a JUCO recruit. My guesses would be Bryant and Collins.

I've never quite understood the silent commit thing, What's the purpose?

It's moreso just a kid reserving their spot at a school. Not uncommon though for them to silently commit to 2 or 3 schools at a time. So, it doesn't amount to a whole lot

I think the pros to it are: Saves a spot for the player, makes it easier to decommit, while allowing them to still have a big ceremony at a later time if they want.

Control the message/media.
If bad news comes (i.e. lose a commit or trouble with the law), drop the good news right behind it. That is one thing Kirby has done so far.
Traditionally, silent commits allow the kids to verbalize when they are ready. But firm up their spot with our coaches.

What I figured. I mean, if you are truly committed, then why not just make it public. It's like dating a girl, and then telling her, "Let's not tell anybody!"

With the new guard, I'd say that KirbyCo has been timing the announcements, often to capitalize on swinging the news cycle when we miss on someone.

I think we might as well not get our hopes up about Solomon. He's likely going somewhere other than UGA. How many guys who really want to go to UGA take it all the way to signing day and list UGA number 3? It sounds like he's cancelled all of his visits from what I've read on twitter.

Collins is way more than a maybe. I think we get Collins and Bryant. Also, Warner if we have some attrition and make room for him. I like Warner and think he would be a great pickup.
If Solomon cancelled all of his visits that would be a good sign for us since our guys were on him HARD last week.
