Blast from the past. Ukeme Eligwe visiting. He was dismissed from FSU for team rules violations in November. He would have to sit out 2015 and then could play in 2016 unless he can get a waiver.

I'm sure no one will say anything about Richt accepting a transfer with a checkered past...

Marijuana aside, I liked this kid back then and liked him even more when he produced as a freshman. Would like to get him in our ranks since the draft will really deplete our LBs next year.

We'll still have Lorenzo Carter, Keyon Brown, Davin Bellamy, Natrez Patrick, D'Andre Walker (this kid is going to PT as a freshman. . .he good), Chauncey Rivers, and Roquan Smith who are all capable of playing OLB and rushing the passer. OLB is one position at which we are absolutely loaded and I'm not worried about. Yes, Floyd and Jenkins are excellent players, but we continue to add elite pass rushers year in and year out.

I'm not worried about it - using the word "deplete" was too strong on my part. But I would rather have a kid who has proven that he can play on a top notch D1 defense versus a high school kid who we think can play on a top notch D1 defense.

We will have both, so its not like pruitt will jump off a bridge if the guy doesn't come to UGA, but I still want him.

If he was on the team for FSU last year, then that means Pruitt was involved in recruiting him at some point, I assume?

No thanks on Eligwe.

- he has baggage. If FSU.... FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY kicked you from the team. Well, then you had 20398230283 opportunities to make your wrongs right.
- injury history (don't really hold this against him that much)
- two years of eligibility and likely one of those he has to sit out
- along those same lines as above - why not just recruit a player that instead has 4 years eligibility, no baggage, and no serious injuries?

I'd rather not have a scholarship on a guy that is only going to be able to see the field one year. Even if he gets a waiver for two years I don't see it worth it. Just IMO

We don't really pick up moral casualties from other teams. Don't see that changing, especially with the type of talent we have on the team already.

I don't doubt that he could contribute, and if the coaches think he could I believe them.

It's just a bad look taking a guy that was kicked off FSU's team. A very bad look IMO.

New this year - the championship and semifinals of the Mark Richt 7v7 will be held at Sanford Stadium. Creative.

I assume they'll load errybody up in campus busses & take all the participants to Sanford to watch the semi's/finals...

I've been reading that people are questioning if we should take this FSU kid, I know for a fact that I've read this board and seeing that we need to be more like AU or UA on transfers and when we host one people say that we don't need or want him lol kid knows the rules that are in place here at UGA, if he still wants to try to transfer here then he obviously is serious and wants to play.
I have no problem with this kid

This is awesome, so it must have been Pruitt's idea.

Keep an eye on Saban's lake house is too cryptic for me. I just hope is doesn't mean Bama has the lead.

I've considered Woerner a must-get ever since I saw film of him receiving and then breaking DB tackles all over the field. Woerner gets big yards after the catch.

I think it was more of a joke because Saban has a lakehouse on Lake Burton up where Woerner lives in Rabun County

Seems Mrs. Saban would only allow one piece relating to sports allowed there. Lil nick decided to hang a pic of the blackout win against us on the wall. Maybe this fall we can send them a present reminding them who's state this is. Dallas, get that saw ready.....time to hang some more shite on that wall.
