I know this is the 2016 thread, but in 2017 we have Trey Sermon in our sights. (I don't remember seeing him mentioned, but I may have missed it. He's looking pretty darn good. See his Sophomore film on the linked page. Power, balance and vision. Hard to bring him down.

Crystal balls rolling in for Rochester to UGA. Aubs are convincing themselves that they don't actually want him as we speak.

Tyler Clark announcing May 15. Will be a Dawg most likely

From jrjrjr:

quote:

Count me as one who won't be overly disappointed if Rochester picks uga. (Hear me out before you contact the authorities) He does not possess the ceiling that I believe others do. His demeanor is not that of a 'big nasty'. He is very passive. Has played along side other Elite talent, and yet he still hasn't ever taken over games like someone with his size/potential should. I think his ranking is skewed due to his size, and the school at which he plays. He may prove me wrong, but I see a guy capable of being a solid SEC DT, but not a dominant one. I like Jackson, Brown (not Jackson Browne), and even Williams better. You can add Davidson as well, since he may wind up at DT. I know that everyone is going to say that I am crazy, and they might be right, but not about this topic.

And from ellitor:

quote:

You are crazy and....I 100% agree w/ you here. Given his size & skill set he plays soft IMO. He just doesn't seem hungry on the field. I will say this though. If he gets hungry on the field & develops a high motor he could be devastating given his size & skill set.

First they didn't want EJ Price, a top 100 player and now they don't want a 5 start DT

Might have to head over to the school and watch that.

ETA- Our Head Coach from the Pope era is coming back. Clark will finally have a good coach to play for.

You better be holding down the AME, if Clark doesn't choose us I'm putting all the blame on you personally

Things are crazy here. I hope you don't plan on coming back

Talked to a few of Clark's coaches and they say he's a good kid, just needs more work. He comes from a good family. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't pick UGA. I'm sure he was told about the numbers and is ready to pull the trigger.

Very excited about how both lines are shaping up

Awesome cause we're getting Brown and Jackson, too. And Michail Carter.

Suck it, Barners.

Yeah that's what I've heard, it has been about a month since I've been back really and that was for a funeral.

Aweome! Speaking of ole Leonard Pope from your last post, interestingly enough he's taking classes here this spring, ran into him at Ramsey while I was wearing a shirt from my school, he recognized me and we had a nice conversation about the fine town of Americus

Yup.... they passed on E.J., Hamm & now Rochester... All prolly had non-committable offers anyway...

Some of jrjrjr's better predictions and comments:

quote:

"Why is UGA having problems securing commitments from their top targets?" TT, Roquan Smith, Roundtree, Godwin (is committed but...) and now McGraw appears to be gone

quote:

My God you guys are pathetic. I explained all of it previously. It wasn't a prediction to begin with. It was simply info being bandied about by some UGA guys (One a Booster) I know.

quote:

They are all guessing. The person I spoke to 30 minutes ago is closer to this than Kipp or Keith. We can fix this now, I am confident that no matter what TT does between now and February 2015, that come NSD, he signs with AU.

quote:

What's this I hear about Eason not wanting a tough coach? Is he a little soft? Sounds like he wants to be named the starter before he even gets to Athens. Is it true that UGA promised not to take another QB until 2017???

If i was a barner i'd be obsessed with hating UGA too. God we've owned them so bad in recent history.

Gary Spivey. Now there's a name I havent heard in years.

Damn I miss the Ron and Ron show. They were well on thier way to giving Howard Stern a run for his money.

We should be overjoyed that Petrino and Malzahn took two huge liabilities off of our hands. Honorable mention to the mad hatter as well.
