Shut up. He's not flipping he's taking a vacation and at the same time running off UFs other QB commit. He's already a DGD.

Yes, but he wouldn't be able to interact with the staff or team, would he?

As long as he's paying for it I would assume he could. It would be just like and unofficial visit.

Gotcha. The whole thing about his visit not officially starting until Wed AM was reported by the gators 247 guy, so there is still no reason to believe Eason is voluntarily extending his visit.

I don't either. His dad has been a huge part of his recruitment I don't see anything happening without him at least checking out UF. That's why I lean to a young kid just having fun and checking out some other school just in case we frick up our OC hire.

Not right now. When we see who the OC is, then maybe. But the two (Supposedly) QB gurus we had are now both gone. We now have a defense oriented guy at the HC position and we don't know who the OC is yet. So, until the smoke clears why would a QB want to come here?

True...but if he is causing problems and hurting chemistry....so there is more to it than just improving the defense (or offense)

This. Mom and dad aren't going to sign off on a flip to a place in Florida when they live in Washington and have never been there. No matter how good the poon was. Same as any OV, let the high wear off and see where things stand.

m personally in that boat with you. If he comes, great, if not, I think we will find someone else to come in and keep us competitive. I now, more than ever, want us to go full bore for Lawrence in '18..in addition to what we can bring in for '17

I understand what you guys are saying but.....we are not the attractive school for QBs we once were. We lost Bobo and fired Richt.

Now, that doesn't mean we can't pull another QB. All I am saying is we may not be a top school for QBs to go to anymore....unless Smart can get a homerun hire for OC. THAT will make a huge difference.

I also tend to agree that the scenario plays out that Muschamp goes to USCe and Pruitt goes to Alabama, so don't get too disappointed if we lose on both.

And we get last look with our best recruiting event of the year.

Not to mention we can run him through Gator detox/deprogramming and snap him back to his senses.

Someone fill me in on the "Gala". What exactly is it and what takes place there? Other than pictures of players in tuxes and posters referring to it all year long as a must to get recruits at the event, I have no idea what it is.

How big of an impact did Richt have on the Gala and will it still go on without missing a beat with Richt's departure?

Is this when all our bagmen are in the same building, throwing strippers and dimebags of blow at recruits?

Idk about the Gala. That's a good question. I am curious to hear from a few of you who study recruiting more than I do: If Rome falls and Eason goes elsewhere, who can we legitimately go in for hot and heavy that would come? I don't see any other QB offers right now.

Give me one good reason why a good quarterback would not want to start in the SEC. Can't think of one. I understand you need to see who the OC is, but jumping the gun helps no one. CKS will make a call, or has made a call, telling him to hang in there. May be my downfall, but I'm all in on CKS and believe he'll make the right hire.

It's a time for the players to look back on the season. Quite a few speeches from some coaches, captains and seniors. Post season awards are given out. Families get to meet one another. Actually a really cool event. Sometimes their might be a "hype" video for bowl game or next season. Then a really nice meal....LOTS of pictures. Think academy awards with with less awards given out

Rochester visiting Louisville is like your ex girlfriend hooking up with an ugly dude trying to make you mad.

I'm not impressed, Julian.

name one great QB that DID play in the SEC. Stafford, but he isn't great. Very good, but not great. Murray? Backup in the NFL. Name the best QB's in the NFL.

Rodgers
Brady
Brees
Mannin, did, but he played a long, long time ago.

These are the top tier QBs in the NFL today. ONE played in the SEC. Name me one good reason why a top QB would WANT to play in the SEC? We haven't exactly sent QB's to the NFL in droves. How many of the 32 starting QB's played in the NFL?
Let me help you. 5 (IF you want to count Payton Manning, who is more or less done) That's 5 out of 32 and a couple of those are barely starters.

I'm not saying you should jump the gun. I am saying getting a good QB is NOT a foregone conclusion. Don't take it for granted that we will get a good QB. We don't have one now.

You know Eason is an early enrollee? He enrolls in about 3 weeks. He will have made a decision in 2 weeks, probably.

You don't have to be. Only he does.

I'm not going to panic. We will lose some recruits. We will gain some recruits.
