Chris Carson just committed LINK

It'll be interesting to see if he's slated to play Running Back or DB.

ETA: He has a little article up on 247 and he says he's excited about the competition at RB. I'm a bit skeptical but good luck to the man. Better get to work

BMac has earned a little trust in his RB evaluations imo. Also, it's not like we were going to get a 5* HS back with our depth

Yeah, I trust the staff's evaluations. He seems like a good find, there's just not a bunch of information out there about him...we'll just have to wait and see on this one

Almost as many fumbles (6) last year as TDs (8). That's kind of scary.

Well I don't think he will see the field much if all goes according to plan. I think it is just a way to take a 2015 RB when UGA wasn't getting a great RB while not hurting 2016 RB recruiting when UGA is looking good with JaQua Daniels.

Maybe they are thinking of redshirting either Michel or Chubb? With Gurley, Marshall, Douglass, Chubb, Michel, and Turman...and now with this kid....seems kind of crowded. Maybe evn Red Shirt both?

I don't think Chubb or Michel redshirt. I also still think that dougkas winds up at h-back/fb.

They're likely planning for the pretty likely scenario that we lose more than just Gurley after this year, either by Marshall going pro or Turman transferring. That would leave us pretty thin at the position.

I agree. Plus you cant expect Sonic McChubb to stay more the 3 years so red-shirting is out of the question IMO

You guys know a whole lot more about this stuff than I do. It just seemed odd that we would go into the season with 7 tailbacks. (I realize this would be somewhat alleviated if they move Douglass to FB.) But still....6? Seems heavy to me. But, if Gurley and Marshall go pro, and Turman transfers we woud be back down to being thin.....but I just don't see Marshall leaving. I think he will stay to be the featured back for his senior year.

Well, as I said, you guys know more han I ever will, so I will bow to your superior knowledge.

True. I guess my feeling is that we would have a similar situation of Gurley/Marshall. With one of them taking the lead and then the other one staying for his senior year to be the featured back. If you red shirt one of them, then the one not redshirted leaves after 3, then you have the one you red shirted as featured for 1 manybe 2 years. As I said...I was just guessing and speculating. I should probably leave that to you guys who are more experienced at this.

Does the US need 11 air craft carriers? No. But we proudly display them in a show of power and send them to the far reaches of the world to show other nations that we have the bigger pecker.

This is no different.

Speaking of having far more stuff than we need, go watch the Last Week Tonight segment on US's nuclear arms. It was terrifying and hysterical at the same time.
