Either of y'all think we take Gilbert Johnson again or is he going to be left out?

If I had to guess at a WR class, I'd say Godwin, Stanley, Chigbu, Slayton, and Owens if he sticks. That would be awesome

Completely agree. That would be a very good WR haul.

Seems like he's a back up plan at the moment. Doubt we go after him again.

Kipp thinks UGA leads for 5* 2016 WR Darnell Salomon after Dawg Night and the Eason commitment. This is almost too much

So are we kind of tempering our Sweat expectations now?

I think him choosing to go to FSU over Dawg Night helped temper them. Not that I expect him to come here but man it would be fun to have him on our line. That being said, FSU, VT, UGA are all going to go hard for him.

Nope. Rusty said this morning that after the FSU visit, he is hearing that it may be an FSU/UGA battle.

I think that had more to do with never having been to FSU before. No cause for alarm.

That said, I think UGA, FSU and VT are firmly in the mix. It'll be a battle all the way until he enrolls most likely

Well, that's the thing. Sweat didn't necessarily pick an FSU visit over a UGA one. IIRC this was his first visit to FSU, just like he made his first visit to UGA a month ago. He has already said that UGA, FSU, VT, tOSU, and UTk will be getting his OVs. It's just going to be a wait and see type deal as he maneuvers through each of those visits and we find out who ends up on top when it's all said and done.

I know the mouth breathers on VN & the SECRrecruiting board think they are in play... I just don't see it...

both tOSU and UTk are on the outside looking in IMO. FSU, VT, and UGA all tied right now, per Sweat.

I understand the staying at home thing but the cobwebs are only accumulating on Beamer and Foster. FSU and UGA have to be the sexy picks.

Has there been any negative news after this weekend for a single prospect? Usually I get myself jacked up for DN, then we got a commit, maybe two, and every other prospect seems lukewarm on us in their post-DN updates. This year couldn't be more opposite it sounds like.

Nope. By all accounts, this year's DN was a homerun in every sense of the word. It did exactly what it was supposed to do in selling the program to every prospect there so that they left with a very positive image of UGA. Given the fruit it could bare over the next couple of months I'd go out on a limb and say this was the best DN they've put on (and that's including about 30 minutes worth of rain).

presentation. A coaching staff that by all accounts actually likes each other. The last thing was that it seemed plenty of current and past players were involved. Of course, this may have always been the case and just not as widely reported in the past.

Even for anonymous message board posting...that's sad...and to say they are reaching with the in state recruiting comments would be an understatement....

First of all, I would consider Auburn more instate than GaTech at this point. I would be shocked if Georgia citizens didn't account for at least 50% of their student body. Certainly, the vast majority of their graduates apparently end up back in Georgia, which isn't all that surprising.

However, what is making me chuckle is that line about "A LOT of behind the scenes stuff going on". And Auburn fans wonder why their program is constantly linked with paying for recruits in one way or another.... well, exactly how else is that statement meant to be taken?
