I hope it's the latest game in this time zone that day.

Agreed. I want as many UGA folks up there as we can get, which means we need a late day convoy into Charlotte

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go.

But do people now see why dropping to the 10 seed instead of the 8/9 isn't a very good thing? I hope we win, but I would absolutely want a better chance for one game, than an extremely rare chance at two.

UGA has a great draw. Michigan State has improved the last month. But let’s not forget, this is a guard heavy team. For once, our front court has a clear advantage and I trust that Fox will exploit those matches. A healthy Kenny Gaines has the ability to shut down Travis Trice. I believe UGA will win this game.

As I mentioned on the rant, a probable 2nd round matchup against Virginia is a blessing if you look at the other #2 seeds. If this teams limits turnovers and makes their damn FT, they have a shot to be a cinderella

I agree completely. All you can worry about is round one unless you are a top 4 seed. Want to be as high as possible, safely in and with the best shot at winning round 1.

Still think we have a shot but definitely not a good draw. Would much rather have the draw that LSU landed.

No, I don't. MSU is far and away the best 7 seed in this bracket. The other 7 seeds are Wichita State, Iowa, and VCU all of whom we would have a decent chance of beating so it was just bad luck getting MSU but we still have a shot against them. We would have virtually no chance beating any of the one seeds and have a much better shot at winning a second game and stumbling into the sweet 16 as a 10.

Not to mention we are basically playing a 1 seed if we beat MSU. Oh thank god we avoided duke and got virginia!

Oh well, Tom izzo is matt bucklins uncle so we are gonna win

I totally disagree. Michigan State has the name recognition, that’s about it. There is a reason the committee has them as a 7 seed. I think Wichita State and Iowa would’ve beat UGA handily. I’m not sure about VCU seeing as I only watched one of their game this year. Sparty is beatable. Don’t let their matchup with Wisconsin today steer you away from the fact they had an average season. Their best player averages 15 ppg, but shots under 40%. In other words, he is hit or miss. They are a guard oriented team, with little post presence. The Dawgs can exploit that with Maten, Thornton and Djurisic

I agree. I've watched them 4-5 times this year. They've looked good at times and other times, they couldn't beat SC in our conference. People are freaking out because it's MSU and many experts are picking them as a dark horse to play in the final 4. I think it's a good matchup.

I think Wichita state is much, much better than michigan state. They are a top 15 team by pretty much every measure and are a 7 seed. Total horse shite.

VCU lost their best player a few weeks ago. They have been alright without him but a 7 seems fair.

The draw isn't all that bad. The intimidating factor is just izzo in March. People see him as a god in this month mainly because of plenty of regular season underachieving to get a lower seed. That has happened again and it makes me nervous with how well they played in the big 10 tourney.

12:40 tip, fack. I have to find a way to stream at work. The good news, I suppose, is this may be the equivalent of a team from the central time zone in football getting a noon est kickoff.

I think Wichita St. and Northern Iowa are much better than their 7 and 5 seeds respectively. The committee favored the power conferences, which helped us, but I think was off. SMU deserved better than a 6 too.

I'm happy cause it's early so I can watch before I have to work but I'm pissed because it's the same time as Kansas.

Also, 12:40 start against michigan state and it's not even January 1st. frick yeah.
