I'm writing a comparative analysis of 2008 Lake Travis vs 2013 Aledo

When comparing position by position (like OL vs OL for example) what do you look for to give one the outright advantage?

Also, Aledo scored 1023 points while LT scored 784, how do I convince my readers that, given Aledo play an inferior schedule, that LT was better? LT played and beat 2 top 100 teams by 14+ and played a top to bottom better schedule.

I post it here because I know or think many of how have probably heard of these teams, and I know aggie football fans enjoy a conversation on TX HS football.

You could look into how many d1 signees each school had to face to start a look at the difference in competition. You could also do comparisons in how many winning teams each faced.

Now if I were discussing these teams I may actually say the Aledo team is the better team. Let's just say they are in a position that Southlake Carroll was when they were a smaller school. They could've whipped just about anybody but were discounted because of their classification.

That's probably what I'll look at.

Lake Travis in their prime was in that same light. Won 5 straight 4A titles, and even thumped Aledo 62-35 in 2011.

According to maxpreps, the average ranking of an Aledo opponent was 3350. The average ranking of an LT opponent was 1150. Aledos district was horrendously bad, and they even played a team from Mexico in non district

That's a tough article to write, you really need to look into who they played closely because the TXHS system is often very one or two team heavy in district play. Plus the larger schools in any given district have a distinct advantage over the smaller schools. You almost need to break down the opponents individual roosters to compare talent played against. Jmo
