Let’s over react in advance. This is mine:

< 24 points- ohh no. We might be staring down a 7 win season.

30-35 points- lowering expectations but hoping. Pretty sure I have seen this movie before and it ain’t great.

>45-50+ points- Bobby baby. Let’s roll!! Pass the Koolaid.

If Ags put up more than 50 it will be a welcome change.. Will damn sure be very interesting on the Rant if Petrino opens up this offense. Looking forward to the season. Gigem.

Yes. It does matter. Like, it really does.

It’s just one indicator. Far from a perfect indicator. But it does mean something.

I bet A&M puts up 50+

Yes, 100%

60 plus and put everyone on notice

I’m
Absolutely tired of the “we were holding back to keep our offense a secret” crap

Blow it out and give the offense confidence and
The backups lots of playing time and real game experience

How the offense looks will, it’s about more than just points scored. You can put points off turnovers, short fields, one or two broken plays, etc. I want consistent sustained drives, some tempo, lots of yards also.

I really want to cover that +38 point spread.

1000% it will.

It is a balance of taking in data vs not overreacting. Remember we almost lost to Vandy early in 2020 and many thought we weren’t gonna be good that year, and you saw how that season turned out. But you can absolutely still learn about a team by watching them play lower quality teams. A good team handles business, a mediocre team looks uninspired. Let’s see how the team comes out tonight, but we better be close to the points spread.

In years past A&M has struggled against lesser opponents early in the season. It’s not about putting up 60, it’s about not looking like a completely dysfunctional offense

Agree. Last night was no struggle whatsoever. I'm feel pretty damn good about the offense overall. Haven't re-watched it on TV so this will be interesting.
