I just tell it like it is. All teams have to deal with tampering these days, and we are not exempt. Also, I am not a fan of Fisher. Guy can recruit but the coaching leaves a lot to be desired.

WR's have improved with the moves made before the season, but honestly now the QB room is a mess. That is a coaching issue. Also, the new OL coach is probably not going to last past the season- he's both terrible and borderline abusive. I am actually looking forward to the end of the year, so that we can see if Fisher is willing to change. Or if he's just on borrowed time

Yeah I don’t think anyone is disputing that players will transfer. You don’t need a friends daughter’s friend dating a reserve at some unnamed position to figure that one out.

My uncle’s friend’s cousin’s niece who works at the MSC told me we’re gonna run an outdated shitty offense on Saturday

As outdated and shitty as our offense is (your words), Stewart is still getting more opportunity and stats in our offense than Worthy is at Texas. That is the messed up part

It is all about perception, and the media is driving the perception that our offense is trash. It isn't. It isn't high flying, spread out or anything close, but it isn't trash either. The OL is the problem more than anything else. THAT is on Fisher. The offense also needs to be simplified as well.

And just because teams are tampering doesn't mean the players will automatically transfer. If Weigman plays, and the offensive players see a future I would expect them to stay, no matter the offers elsewhere

Remember that Stewart turned down Texas out of high school.

I'm actually at the point now that I just want to see Weigman play some snaps, start some games. As much as I like King, I agree with Stewart that the kid simply cannot read a defense.

Also, if you don't think it is important to start Weigman, I give you a post from TexAgs following the hot topic of the day, Stewart

1. There was a YouTube video of Stewart before the season saying how King can't read defenses. Many blew it off. Said what does a fish know, he was just BS'ing with his buddies, etc..
2. Then, makes/likes a tweet that says A&M has the players, but sip has the scheme.
3. Then, he likes a tweet that Weigman may be starting.

If you want to keep Stewart for example, starting Weigman would go a long way to help that ...

Like when you said the locker room hated Mond and wasn't playing hard because of him... and then we won every game by double digits and finished #4 in the nation with him at QB?

To his credit, I scanned the premium board over on texags and they appear to have several threads right now that seem to be discussing the same thing. I dont have a premium sub so cant read the actual threads.

Where there's smoke, there's fire? Interesting timing, but would like to see more concrete info before running off like its goespel.

King is "healthy" according to Fisher, so yeah ... going to be a roller coaster end of the year. Seriously, my signature says it all. What a stubborn a-hole.

The team was absolutely divided on Mond - Fisher was going to bench him until Florida happened.

You're claiming that a fricking walk on thinks our boosters won't have NIL to keep people from transferring?
quote:

And if Fisher doesn't make changes, there is a group of graduates that have been actively recruiting to buy out his contract and fire him in the background just like they did years ago with Sumlin. I have actually pledged to that cause if it happens, though I don't think it is doable for another year or two.

So now you're claiming to be a big money booster? Call me skeptical, but big money Ags don't typically have to get their insider info from their daughter's friend's boyfriend who is a "reserve"?

First of all, let's cut the BS here. Everyone is expecting at least two or three DL to transfer. That was a given the moment we signed that class. There are too many blue chip players and not enough playing time. You're hedging your predictions based on this well known knowledge so that you can come back in December and say "see, I told you so".

Give it a rest dude. You have no more insider sources than a pube in my left nut.

I am not a big money booster - my pledge is only 20K, a drop in the bucket. And they called me, not the other way around because I know some medium range boosters. I did tell the association I will be donating nothing further to football for the near future.

Lol at your whole schtick being how much you can't stand to watch A&M football and being ready to quit watching at a moment's notice and then giving them 20 grand every year

If that's money you earned and not some trust fund bullshite, woooo child

One of my friend's sons had a "measuring" visit with Miami... We are in Bridgeland and he said that Miami is also very interested in Weigman. What ColoradoAg is saying is real.

Well, he'd be a complete idiot to go to Miami right now. Niether of us are good, but they are even worse of a program than we are at this point.

Usually you get banned on TexAgs for being too negative. These days Liucci is letting almost everything go, so it is interesting reading. He also said the OL situation is a disaster.

Getting back to the topic, if Fisher doesn't play Weigman instead of a hobbled King, he deserves to lose him. Not sure what the problem is here, other than Fisher will never play a freshman QB unless he has to do so.

Every school is interested in players other schools aren't using at the moment. That's not groundbreaking news. Every year, transfer QBs are recruited by other schools.

You guys are really overreacting at common fricking sense.

This is a double-edged sword.

Play Weigman behind this SHITTASTIC OL and you risk losing him forever, not to mention the fruitless burning of his redshirt.

BUT

Play Weigman and he absolutely kicks arse, and does NOT get hurt for life, we head into next season with a clearly elite signal caller.

Somebody do a Risk/Reward analysis.

I suspect that every play's ability is a gamble and we may as well throw them into the deep end and let them sink or swim.

Jimbo convincing himself that the line he built is so bad that he must play the wrong QB is so perfectly Jimbo that I'd be surprised if it wasn't part of what's going on.
