I am sick and tired of all these little sippy and baylor frickers using the Honor Code as a punchline or pejorative, and holding Aggies to a higher standard than themselves in a fashion that would make Saul Alinsky feel guilty.

It's time we revise the Aggie Honor Code to more appropriately addresses the circumstances in which we now find ourselves and to rid ourselves of the sippy/gaylor bullshite.

I propose the following change from:

quote:

Aggies do not lie, cheat, or steal, nor tolerate those who do.

To:

quote:

frick each and every last one of you cocksucking motherfrickers. We will do whatever the frick we want and there's not a got damn thing any of you little f@gg@ts can do about it but get those prissy little knees dirty SUCKING OUR DICKS!!!

and the double bird is actually part of the new Code.

All in favor of this much-needed amendment, say Aye!!!

Pretty sure that's been a long-time addendum to the code. Just understood instead of said, kind of like the "first verse" to the War Hymn

The criticism is so overblown its crazy. People act like it is considered iron clad by anyone associated with A&M when its not.

I went to Southwestern for a year and THAT school had a REAL iron clad honor code- you could take tests in your dorm if you were most comfortable there! When I transfered to A&M day one I got lectured about not trying to cheat or trying to use Blinn to get through coursework. I never even considered Blinn until they mentioned it (I loved my classes there).

I kinda get the argument though, some Aggies act like we are the most special bunch on the planet but we are people too. The worst undeserved arse beating of my life was by Aggies (or TShirts it was hard to tell) who I stopped to try and help in front of my mom's church. You just never know with people.

Rivals are jealous of what really makes us special-our tight knit community. That is what they lack, the bravery to be a sip amoung your friends in Cali or be a Bear before RG3.

Sorry for all the words.

Say wut?! What's the story behind this?

I've been close to beating the shite out of another Aggy at least once in the past. fricker ran his bigoted mouth towards us and was openly looking for trouble. He must have been tripping on some type of drug, since it is the only explanation I can think for what he said. The Aggie Code of Honor was definitely not present that night. Better judgement prevailed on my part (unfortunately ).

I don't know, it is different. All schools have honor codes. But I've seen and heard the Aggie one more times in one year than I heard USC's in 3. Some professors, even in graduate school, made us right it down on our tests and sign it.

I understand it's purpose, it is supposed to help bring Ags together. But people are people and college kids are college kids... and they can be little shits sometimes.. Ags or otherwise.

I mean, I hear the Aggie honor code and then go to the Rec. Center where there are "High Theft Area" signs in the locker room. (and I understand why)

I was driving to my mom's house one night when I saw a car parked in front of her church. I drove past them and stopped to get out to make sure someone didn't break down or something, but when I walked over a very drunk dude in a Texas A&M shirt ran up claiming I almost hit them when I passed (I wasn't close) and he started throwing punches at me. He had three other guys right behind him egging him on (and some girl yelling to stop) so I defended my face from his drunk haymakers as I got into my car to drive off. I barely got the door shut as his friends starting hitting me too or kicking my car, it happened very fast.

I got a little bit down the road before the situation made me so mad that I stopped and yelled back "I am an Aggie too you dumbass!" Then I drove off.

Showed me how crazy the world can be. I bought my first gun the next week.

Thus, the need for the proposed amendment.

Worst I've ever been screwed in the business world was by two fellow Aggies I was trying to help. And, both were old army. I of course still love the place but got over the "we're special" a long time ago.

Aggieland is a special environment, with a culture and traditions that are second to none. It's a special place, and always will be.

People are still just that, though--fallen, flawed people. And at a school that's as big as TAMU and has had as many people matriculate through it, of course you're going to run into some bad apples. Those bad apples were around during old army and will be there long after new army finally arrives at hell

Yeah, alcohol and Aggies (of all ages) don't mix well. Learned that at the Southwest Classic.

So true. I will never ever support selling beer in Kyle even though I would personally enjoy it.
