I thought we played pretty hard. Thought we would quit early on. We need some real help in the secondary. Reed looked pretty good. Could have been worse.

It was entertaining and they had a shot at the end.

Reed looked amazing for his first real game without prepping as the starter. How many games the last few years has our QB out up 390 yards vs a good team?

We were outmatched in the secondary and Durkin adjusted too slowly. That was the biggest difference in the game in my mind. The DL and LB did a solid enough job. It felt like they threw away from Bryce all game.

It’s frustrating because we lost and it felt winnable, but under the circumstances it should not have been all that close.

I felt so bad for Henderson

Is it confirmed that his arm is broken?

Agree.

We desperately need to get our shite together on the oline. Pathetic push. Has to change.

Thankfully Elko understands the importance of being physical on the oline in the SEC.

I’m glad we played the game, even if it was with half a roster and ended in a loss.

Reed looked good for being thrown out there as our 4th string QB, hopefully he can develop behind Wiegman and become a contributor over time.

Secondary was awful, but when I saw the 12th man out there playing safety, I set my expectations low from the get go.

All in all, the Jimbo Fisher era closed with a whimper. Man, if you had told me after the orange bowl win in 2020 that we’d opt out, not qualify for a bowl, and lose the Texas bowl for our next three years, I’d have said you were high on something. Wild. Hope Elko can fix the problems and get us on the right track.

Reports are that surgery was successful, but I haven’t seen any details on the nature of the surgery.

Never in my life have I seen us have to go 4 deep on the depth chart for a quarterback because the other three got injured. What a cluster frick. He did look impressive though.

I think the closest I’ve ever seen to that was when we were so depleted on the roster that Mike Sherman had to start Ryan Tannehill as a slot receiver

We will win nine or so games next year, even with depleted roster.
