What about Bullock from the 2012 draft?

His track record goes further back than 2012. He's responsible for acquiring several of the cornerstones that are there now, namely the one that wears #99.
I'm not saying he shouldn't be under fire but citing three or four examples of bad draft picks from recent drafts is a bad way to do it. Even good GMs miss on several picks a draft, you can't bat 1.000
Most of my criticism comes from the QB situation, because I honestly think they are a competent QB away from being a contender. And that's not even touching on the fact he decided to stick with Schaub instead of throw his hat in the Peyton ring.
As far as the current QB situation goes, some of it may be O Brien's doing. I badly wanted them to trade up at the back of the first just a few picks from their second rounder to get Bridgewater. Who knows what O Brien wants though, I think he has a pretty specific vision for what he wants at the QB position.
Tl:dr but I am willing to give Smith another year to build this roster back, though I am not too happy with his performance either

1. Summit is right. Houston is the worst 3-1 team. Our offense is terrible. Half the guys don't know what is going on. The other half are no talent has beens or never wasers. Smith deserves to be fired about 2 years ago.
