One could say that and be factual. I have Student ID's from both schools and will eventually have degree's from both schools. Far more qualified to post on the board than most of the people already allowed.
I'm not so sure we should let him in

I haven't been to Japan. But I've heard they have plenty of stuff documenting how terrible the bombs were but not a whole lot documenting the shite they did that led to it, which is a problem IMO.
You sir did not visit the Yushukan. Extremely controversial museum in Japan. It basically glorifies the actions of the government between the 1850s and the 1930s. It is history told from the other side. Extremely informative. The best military museum I've ever been to hands down. If you ever go back to Tokyo, I highly recommend it.

I am 100% unequivocally against removing confederate statues and references, and I'm black.
How can we remember the past if we just erase it and pretend it didn't happen. No, that shite happened and we need to be reminded of it so we don't do the same thing again.
I think the symbols of the confederacy should have been destroyed in the 1860s, but I get what you're saying.
In case we all forget what secession was REALLY about, let us review the Texas Ordinance of Secession and hang our heads in shame:
quote:
We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable.
—?Texas Secession Convention, A Declaration of the Causes which Impel the State of Texas to Secede from the Federal Union, (February 1861).

Oh god...what's sad is some people honesty still believe this crap. When Donald Trump opens his mouth they all come running to hear what he has to say.

Puto please!!!!
Big Bend makes the hill country it's bitch as far as beauty is concerned. It's just unfortunate there are no major cities out there.

It is just one park. I've been. it is awesome, but a place with no trees cannot win. Its in the rulebook somewhere.

I dunno. It doesn't have trees, man. It's too stark for me. I am not a desert guy. Hill Country is a happy median.

Yeah, but you can have mountains WITH trees in a lot of the world. I get it though, a lot of people LOVE the desert vibe. My wife does. I could just never do Palm Springs or Phoenix because the starkness depresses me.

Yeah, not all desert is nice. Southwest New Mexico for example has desert that iss so desolate, boring, and depressing. Just driving that stretch of I-10 makes you want to floor it just so you can get the frick out of there quickly.
But there are some deserts that just have "that" view which is astonishingly breathtaking. Big Bend and Guadalupe are two of those.
