Do any of you have a link to the tribute that ran on the big board at the game? I didn't get to see it and only now just heard about it. I also heard that y'all were first class in saluting the Tennessee heroes who fought.
Many, many, props. And if you have a link where I can see it, I would be much obliged.

It must have run during a commercial break. I didn't see it on TV and would like to as well.

Vols who were there said y'all cheered like crazy during the tribute and gave us mad love. They came away with a lot of respect for you. They also said you were awesome hosts (I knew you would be but that's been confirmed once again).

Is this where they had a relative of Crockett on the field? I saw that briefly in I think the pregame?

Yeah I think that's what he is talking about. The fans weren't cheering for Tennessee bro they were cheering for Crockett's frick you to Tennessee.

Yeah pretty much. We still respect the Tennessee Volunteer army though for all the help they gave us in the war.

I think it was during a timeout in the first quarter.

If so, that's kinda both rude and a bit ahistorical for several reasons not the least of which is that many of those Tennessee fighters returned home. The Crockett statement also comes from hearsay. Here's the source:

And while the thought did cross my mind, I seriously doubt Ags would do such a thing. On tRant, certainly, but not in real life.
Even if accurate, it's pretty clear that the statement would've used to motivate Texans to fight. But again, I doubt Crockett ever said this as he'd have been saying it in front of a bunch of Tennessee Volunteers (not exactly the way to motivate that group).

Not for Tennessee but for those Tennesseans who fought and bled for Texas. Big difference.
