Came into this season neutral on Sumlin. He'd built up a ton of goodwill his first couple seasons, and taken it all back the next couple. This was make or break.

It's broken.

Fire him.

I almost want UTSA to win next week so that the pieces of shite that still cling to the anus that is our athletic program will finally fall off.

Post Johnny, it's looked the exact same these last 3 years. shite the bed in the second half of the season. Sumlin is not a good coach, his assistants aren't good coaches, we need a new staff. That's it.

Last week was the worst loss of his career at A&M. Now this week is the worst loss of his career at A&M.

This is some sad Peter Gibbons shite.

That was some horrendous play calling in the 2nd half. That last series really took the cake. That was awful. I just thought last week was just one of those things but there should have been no way that ole miss team should have won that game in aggieland.

It was all Johnny and Mike. Sumlin is worthless.

59-0 was the anticlimax of his career.

So are we in coach search mode? I really was hoping this staff would pull it together this year

Yea but at least Alabama was a really awesome team and we were dealing with some internal chemistry issues.

Mississippi State is an awful team. Ole Miss was a bad team with Kelly and tonight they started a true fish in his place. These were both worse losses

Too late now, I know. I'm no longer a big fan, either. But before everybody starts calling for his head... do you have a replacement in mind? Unnamed roommate HATED Emory Bellard and got his wish with Tom Wilson. That worked out really well. Later got his wish with RC and got maybe the biggest embarrassment to A&M there has ever been with Fran. So before you light your torches, who do you want?

Sumlin since 2012 has almost the EXACT same record Slocum did from 1999-2002, but with a better bowl record inflating the numbers.

Taking out the bowl games:

Slocum (1999-2002) was 28-17

Sumlin (2013-2016) is 30-16 with a likely finish of 31-17

Top choice: Les Miles

Other choices: P.J. Fleck, Brent Venables, Clay Helton, Mark McEntyre

Agreed

Hopefully we look at substance this time in our coaching search not style

This negates anything you have to say on this subject from now on. He'd have been an excellent fit 10 year ago. Now? No way.

I am very frustrated. I just don't think he is getting fired.

The way we are playing, we will beat UTSA, lose to LSU, and go into a middle tier bowl at 8-4. His worst case scenario is 8-5 and I don't see him getting fired for that. If we blow the UTSA game and O-fer out the season, all bets are off.

The only difference between Slocum's 1999-2002 record and Sumlin's 2013-2016 record is inferior opponents in bowl games on Sumlin's part.

Miles' WORST season at LSU is Sumlin's average.
