Well, solid first game. Should be a really fun season. Just want to see free throws improve, but it's so damn nice to watch these guys hit outside shots and create opportunities with their passing.
I hope as the season goes along, and hype starts to build, the fans will start to pile back in.

We looked REALLY good for stretches.
This upstate team is hard to gauge. They have lots of upsets the past few years, but this team is super inexperienced. Have to be well coached with all the recent success though, so I respect his comments about us being the best they've played in a while.
Will be interesting to see when jones and Robinson are back.
Billy is going to have OPTIONS, against every team we play. Seriously, we should be able to find favorable Matchups all year.

I imagine Upstate isn't that great, but our FG% and assist numbers would be good in practice against air.
I'm excited about this team. First, we have some shooters and several playmakers that can dominate one-on-one match-ups. Second, while I'm not expecting the world from our fish big men, they look like they'll be able to consistently beat a lot of front courts and at least hold their own against pretty much anyone.
Put it all together and I think we're FINALLY going to have a good offense this year. We'll be able to score both inside and outside, and, though it's a very small sample size, we seem to have enough passing skills to punish teams that overcommit to defending one or the other.

Tonight we are playing the mighty Lions of Southeastern Louisiana.
It's a quick turnaround from Friday's game but I appreciate how A&M scheduled around Jalen Jones' suspension, allowing him to be eligible in time for the tournament in the Bahamas.
