Maryland associate head coach and co-offensive coordinator Kevin Sumlin was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Florida over the weekend, according to Hillsborough County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office arrest records.
The former Texas A&M coach was arrested at 12:40 a.m. ET Saturday morning on U.S. Highway 301 in Tampa, Fla., and later released on a $500 bond. The DUI charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison and a $1,000 fine. Sumlin refused a breathalyzer test, according to the arrest report.
The Terrapins, who are 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Big Ten this season, were on a bye week during the time of Sumlin’s arrest. Their next game is Saturday at Northwestern.
Maryland has not released a statement regarding the arrest.

I remember hearing about him partying before that ASU game in Houston when we were down there.

Surprised Roger isn't here yet. Didn't he claim this happened in CS but got taken care of?
Anyway, I'm not sure I've ever seen "Build" on a record like that. I guess "T" build is good?

At one point, Sumlin was one of the rising stars in CFB. I hate to see that happen.
Hopefully, he is able to get things put back on track for his and his family’s wellbeing.

No excuse for DUI in a world that Uber exists. The man was paid millions to coach football, and cannot make a simple ride reservation
