That sounds about right.
Somewhere, I have photos of it.
Pouring rain. In Waco.
Horrid conditions.
I graduated (undergrad) in '95, and that game was a year or two afterwards.
So '96 would be right.
If I'm lyin I'm dyin ... but that was the potentially biggest incident that never was.
We're talkin' 1926 mounting a cannon on a train with the intent of marching on and bombarding Baylor big.
I still shudder when I think about what almost happened.

Man I went to a few Baylol games when RGIII was there and you should've heard some of the names they called him while he was making them halfway relevant. There is no racism like that of spoiled white entitled rich kids, they make some of the deep south rednecks look like liberals.

Dad worked for baylor from 04-06 and we had season tix to Floyd Casey. Between that and being in school, I attended every TAMU/bu game from 04 to 2010.
Deplorable fanbase. Truly underrated in their crassness, tbh.

All of these stories align perfectly with my experiences at Baylor games. A couple of my best friends went to Baylor out of high school, and we would always meet up in Waco or CS for A&M/BU games. Baylor is easily the worst fanbase to interact with outside of Miami (fl).
One year I was with my Baylor friend in the student section at Floyd Casey, and this group behind me was going nuts with the most heinous curses/racial slurs/etc. you can imagine about the Aggie team, and I made some sort of off hand comment under my breath about the kids being cracked out. My friend grabbed my arms and said "dude, don't say shite like that around here! There's a really bad cocaine problem around here right now, they really might be high and you don't want to frick with that."
Found out later that day from another friend of mine I ran into that weekend that his entire frat was effectively disbanded because everyone in the frat except him and one other guy were in rehab for coke problems.
