So what’s our offense going to look like this year?

Weigman back at QB

Moss as RB1, Rueben Owens as #2

Jahdae, Moose, not really sure on WR 3 and 4, maybe one of the transfers?

OL looks fairly similar: Zuhn, Foster, Bisontis, not sure on the other 2

TE likely Donovan Green since Jake Johnson transferred and Max Wright graduated.

Lot of turnover at WR obviously, and I’m real interested to see the offensive line come together. I don’t think it should be hard to put out a better product on offense than what we’ve seen the last couple of years, not that that’s saying much…

Running, ball control, misdirection, tight ends, creative & unique formations, lots of OL pulling, spreading the ball around, QB Runs, do it all H Back (Could be perfect for Green)

Agree with all this. Gonna be hard to underachieve compared to the past few seasons

We’ve heard this one every single year since firing Sumlin

The K-State offense uses TE heavily. Frequent 2 TE sets. Their leading receiver this year was a TE.

Based on what we’ve heard I don’t think there’s a question our offense will be improved (not a high bar to clear). My question with Klein’s offense will be whether we are able to generate explosive plays and make the best use of Weigman’s skill set. Klein strikes me as the type that’s adaptable to what his roster looks like and not as rigid as our previous OC, so I hope that’s what happens

In a Weigman interview the other day, he mentioned his favorite part of the new offense is that they can "run 9 different plays, and they all look exactly the same" or something to that effect.

I hope this is the case. These kids have a lot going on in life between football, school, chasing girls, etc. A simplified playbook would be far easier to keep track of mentally AND get more reps on each play in practice. Saban even said during the Johnny years "figuring out what they're doing isn't hard. They only run like 12 plays, but they do it out of different formations. The hard part is stopping it", or something to that effect.

The comment in the latest TA article is that a WR is always open, you have to love that. I hope that is the offense, and not a sign of DB issues in coverage

Here's hoping. It comes down to execution, discipline, and focus. We have a lot more talent than those guys. We could really score some points if they simply do their jobs

Looked fine enough when your golden boy wasn’t behind the center.

Inconsistent because of OL play. And "fine" is relative. My Golden boy as you call him isn't even going to start. He is still working his way back from injury.

I'll be amazed if we get through play with just one QB. The OL is terrible and will get another QB hurt for sure.
