We've shown flaws in UCLA, Auburn, USC, and UT. PVAMU doesn't count. I didn't see much wrong with Arky though. We played a damn good game.

If we play our Arky game vs Bama we win

Yeah, I agree Arkansas was our best game. But I wonder if Sumlin or the team would say that is the best they can play? I don't know.
I guess one way to think about it is if we play at the same level as we did versus Arkansas, will that be good enough to beat Alabama? Maybe. But Knight being more consistent throughout the whole game would help a little more. I hope he can do that in two weeks.
Knight's running ability has really surprised me. Would be nice if he could also reel off another 60 yard run at Alabama. Our offense thrives off big plays. We'll need them, too, at Alabama.

Umm No. Ags have a very good chance to beat Bama. Bama are giving up a lot of points and they have their troubles with passing defense. Knight is fast enough to give them some problems.
Knight just has to play better against Bama. When Knight threw the ball well against Tennessee we moved it very well against them. Unfortunately we had stretches of poor throwing and very conservative play calling. Just cannot go through so many stretches of 3 or 4 and out. Just sucks the life out of the D.
When Tenn came back and we grew a pair on offense once again and opened it up, Vols had a hell of a time trying to stop us. Everything was open from a passing and running game standpoint. That shitty QB sneak in first OT was a horrible call. Outside of that we were gashing Tennessee at that point.
Don't care if Bama plays good as long as we play good... I still like our chances. Not scared of Bama.
We can beat Bama. Not saying we will but not going to be surprised if we do. We can wear them down just as much as they can wear us down. This isn't a great matchup for Bama and it isn't a bad matchup for us either.
Anyone's game.

Of course
The only games Bama loses anymore are those in which the other team has a GREAT, usually mobile QB, an excellent downfield passing game and a bunch of bounces go against them.
Look at 2012: Johnny Manziel, Mike Evans, an all time great OL and we still needed a +3 TO margin and an offside penalty at the end to win by 5.
You can't run on Bama consistently. You just can't. They eat up the read option we love. Knight isn't nearly the kind of passer needed to threaten them. Unless they turn it over 5+ times I don't see any way we win.

Well Roger, Alabama is coming due for that game. Plus they have to play a rivalry game vs. Tennessee this Saturday while we recover. I like our chances, but we'll see.

To beat Alabama you need turnovers and some explosive plays which we happen to be the best at in the country.
I'm not saying we should be favored, but it's not impossible.

i just have zero faith in our offense in general, and when you put us up against alabama's defense...fuhgetaboutit.
plus, our defensive line was really manhandled at times up front against tennessee it seemed, i imagine it will be worse against bama. i'm just hoping our line looked that way because they were just really worn down and needed the off week. because up until last week, it felt like our line had done a pretty solid job of shedding blockers and stopping runs at the point of attack. against tennessee they created some pretty huge holes for kamara to hit.

I really hope Bama is still #1 by the time we meet. That's a lose/lose for us. A loss to them after they lose to TN would really suck. But beating them after a loss wouldn't be the same feat either.

agreed. I give us a 25-35% chance. Let's see what happens up in Neyland this weekend

Oh wait.

Our offense can look as inept as any, but we're still a top tier unit in terms of production and we've played the most p5 teams. It's boom bust, but explosive touchdowns count the same. It only takes a handful each game.
I could see us winning in a game Bama "dominates" .
Obviously they are the favorite so everything I say has an asterisk but it's not insurmountable.

As long as the game is competitive. Sumlin's seat will remain cool. If a&m can play to their full potential I can see them winning. While Alabama is really talented this is their youngest team they had in a while. Texas a&m on the other hand is very experienced. Defense must show up and knights arm must show up. Every team that has beaten bama had good qb play.

Who wants to volunteer to patrol Northgate this weekend? You know, to make sure all our players are making good decisions.

Playing dense isn't going to help one bit in two weeks.
Yes, Trevor Knoght beat them once. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, in the three years and 20 or so starts since has given any indication that Knight can duplicate that showing.
Plus, as has been documented from mutiple sources including players on that team, Bama didn't give a shite about that game after the kick six. Nick Saban even said its the hardest he's ever had to work just to get his team to go through the motions in practice.
