Sources: Texas A&M foward Robert Williams - considered Top 10 pick in 2017 Draft - leaning strongly toward returning for his sophomore year.

I basically write him off as gone midway through the season and just enjoyed his dunks while he was here, but this would be huge.

It can only do so much with who we have in charge

That said this draft is absolutely loaded. I know people are saying top 10, but with the depth it has he could easily fall past 15 I think with one bad workout or something and that's not a knock on him. He could go much much higher next year

No Kennedy fan here, but basically returning the same roster while adding Caldwell, Flagg, Starks, & Chandler is a recipe for success.

I agree, but the coaching situation puts a hard ceiling on what that success can be. I don't want to turn this into that kind of thread though. I can understand why Williams would want to come back and don't think it's that crazy. He's still extremely raw and can really improve his draft stock simply because next year is much more thin than this year

Pretty sure you make like 8 million more over your first four years in the rookie scale if you're top 3 vs a late lottery pick

If he comes back everyone better buckle up, cause it's gonna be a special season.

What a recruiting job by Billy Kennedy to get this kid back for a year.

We will go from no point guards to two point guards as well.

I'm on the fence here. Next year's draft is more big man heavy.

That said he is a high lottery pick while projected to be a role player (rim protector and rebounder)... I think he has a lot more to his game than that, and if he can flash the jumper and face up game just enough to get a team to bite on his franchise potential the sky is the limit.

He should be dribbling a basketball everywhere he goes from now on.

He's staying

Only so Billy Kennedy can win another SEC title and get another rim job from Roger

I'm happy that he is staying. Hope he has an insurance policy in case of injury.

The school should take care of that. I believe we've done it in the past.

Surprising news, but unlikely this will be only 1st rounder who decides to return. Risky move, but good for him if he feels he wasn't ready.
