Sumlin's not forcing kids to play. Anybody who has ever played competitive ball knows that to be true. Part of this crap come from Allen, but listen to his interviews. He told the coaches he was good to go and Spavital was in charge of evaluating.

You want my thoughts? The Jim Turner hire reeks of clueless-ness from Sumlin.

Sherman and his staff were fired. Most of them were pretty upset. Sumlin tried to hold onto several of he staff, but Sherman and Deruyter took their guys with them. Sumlin had a late start. He did his best to keep continuity by bringing most of his Houston staff. He had a few weeks to hold a recruiting class together and you can't do that looking around for an entire staff.

Acting like Sherman and Deruyter laid out the red carpet for Sumlin and trying to spread that garbage because you don't like him is just dumb.

Da frick?!!! . Someone needs a trip down memory lane.

First of all, Turner didn't follow Sherman since Sherman had nowhere to go (unless you count the unemployment line, which Turner didn't follow). Turner accepted a gig with Tommy Tubberville at Texas Tech once he knew he wasn't going to be retained by Sumlin.

As a matter of fact, Sumlin did have the option to keep old staff, but decided on only keeping Terrell Williams for recruiting purposes. But of course you wouldn't remember any of that. So stop acting as if Sumlin was purposely sabotaged just because you like like him (see what I did there???)

BTW, Williams left soon after for Oakland.
