Not really a tradition per se (unless you're a yell leader), but the folks who complain about it remind me of the same kind of people who bitch about folks wearing jerseys, cargo shorts, gameday dresses, etc. Just stupid to take issue with IMO.

I agree. To each his own kind of thing. I mean I would never wear those painted overalls, but if people enjoy it and take pride in their gameday attire, let them. I wear blue jeans, boots, and a gameday polo. I wouldn't be caught dead in fratastic swag or overalls, but I don't mind when people are.

I've never owned a pair of overalls. Pretty small number of Fish Camp types that did that when I was a student.

The first Maroon Out game was against Nebraska my Sr year. Prior to that, most of us nonregs just wore whatever the hell we put on when we woke up in and stumbled over to Kyle.

My Saturday mornings usually looked a lot like Friday night.

Personally, I don't care.
I just find it funny that people that are or approaching thirty years of age are still wearing painted overalls for gameday.
I mean, can you imagine grown arse men sitting around painting their overalls with their buddies gabbing about the upcoming game while drinking lemonade?
It's kind of crazy, and that was my point.

Well that would be me ... but Ole Miss is different than most places so this attitude is acceptable, if not embraced.

You just don't do those things at Ole Miss games and if you do prepared to be ridiculed because you should know better. Now go home and change into your Sunday's best.

This is how we think about OM fans wearing:

jerseys, cargo shorts, gameday dresses, etc.

FYI ... you should do this everytime and not worry about the other.
