I don't read Phil Steele, but I have been seeing these posted on tRant and we usually rank pretty well. I figure it would be worth putting them all together.

5th - Secondaries
8th - Defensive Line
10th - Offensive Line
11th - Linebackers
16th - Receiving Units
19th - Special Teams
44th - Running Backs

I wonder why? Inexperienced RB room yes but that room is filled with talent. I don't understand why we're in the mid-40's because of this

We lost Achane who made up 65% of our rushing. I think its that simple. But we're going to have some talented backs for sure.

I really hope they play like a top 10 line nationally, King definitely had his issues, but our line was trash last year and didnt help him or Weigman out much. Just because you return a bunch of the same starters, doesnt mean they'll automatically be better. Hope they get coached up.

Everything else looks semi fair, although I'd say a top 5 secondary might be a bit ambitious too.

You answered it yourself. They may be talented but there are talented dudes at every P5 school.

They have to actually show something to deserve to be ranked high.

Also, you can't forget that running and catching the ball is only part of the job. Can these dudes make and hold their blocks? Can they pick up a disguised blitz? Do they know when to break their assignment to make up for somebody who got beat? Can they pick up the new offense quickly?

Too many question marks to be very high IMO.

Barring injury, Owens will emerge as a stud by mid-season. He doesn't have quite the top-end of Achane, but showed the perfect combination of burst, power, wiggle, and versatility in the Spring Game.
