If I won one last year or had players on my team that won one and actually contributed, sure.

If I won one in 2007 or even lost one in 2011, I would obviously consider that strong proof of my program's overall historical importance, but I sure as hell wouldn't somehow claim that it explains why I'm good in the present.

I didn't post over here last season

Pretty sure anyone who posts on this site enjoys college football enough to melt when their team plays poorly

That was exactly the poster's point that I quoted

really? cause it kinda seems like he is saying that by focusing on the message board, it is somehow a detriment to the actual team. and even if that isnt what he is trying to get across, that idea gets thrown around all the time and its just so beyond dumb

This is why the rich shouldn't talk to the poor. The poor are given more latitude for obscene behavior. They expect more from us.

You'd melt more during the season too if you'd seen aTm win a championship recently. It's just the nature of things.

This makes absolutely no sense. Having seen squads of mine win championships recently, it makes the rough patches more bearable, tbh.

I've no idea how in the hell you came to that conclusion, at all

I took it as "why do you yall care about winning message board battles when LSU keeps beating aTm?"

Which is a fair point. And I'm not trolling when I say that, sarge

Honestly there is nothing like college football in the south. Don't even try to compare NBA fandom to the crazy arse rednecks who live for their football

It's another level

But yes our fans are crazy

But I think you'd find that tailgating for an LSU game is much different than the LSU fan you find here

So I'm thinking about putting the LSU next to my name for the week. Could make for some fun.

I was implying that your line of thinking is stupid. Knowing the audience, I should have just spelled it out for you, and that's my fault.

Why are you going for personal attacks?

I've been called poor and dumb in this thread. I'm neither.

This how you let them treat company TBird?

Oh, pish posh. Y'all ain't got shite on a place like SA that revolves around the NBA team. You think y'all get crazy? Mexicans throw DOWN, son

And regardless, the rough patches are usually ameliorated by the good times, especially if they're recent.

Y'all just like to be miserable. And we're more than happy to help y'all in that regard

And what is my line of thinking? I've no idea what you're implying. I'm simply saying that winning a lot of games lately has put LSU fans in a position to expect nothing but 10-12 wins a year. It's unreasonable, but that's college football down here.
