I think it has a lot to do with health. Skills and play don't matter when you can't stay on the court.

Yeah, SA went through something similar last offseason with Tiago Splitter. Wasn't likely we'd keep him anyway what with chasing LMA and all, but Tiago's health issues weren't helping his case. Atlanta's dealing with that, now, with him, too.

Dame and McCollum keeping the Blazers up 10 on the Warriors, midway thru 3rd quarter. Curry also has 4 fouls.

Dame went off for 51. He's already a legend around these parts. Many IPAs were drunk in his honor last night

Yep. And then they fart around, and now it's a one possession game.

I'm almost thinking that sometimes they get bored and just take their foot off the gas to see how long they can get away with it

Agreed. Will be interesting watch play out. I love the way they play. But they're walking that tightrope between supreme confidence and supreme arrogance.

They are. It's fascinating to watch. You gotta wonder how they'll respond WHEN they face adversity in the postseason. Likely from OKC or SA (puncher's chance to LAC because that's a rivalry game).

It'd be funny if they met the same fate as the Panthers, considering the tie-in with Curry. Time will tell, though. As arrogant as they are (which I don't mind, btw--kind of refreshing in the coachspeak era), they're more than capable of putting their play where their mouths/body language is.

Really excited for the playoffs Then again, I'm excited for the playoffs every year, I guess

Confession: I haven't given 10 cents about the NBA since Jordan retired. Have rooted for the Spurs and primarily against the Heat. But Steph and the GSW have brought me back.

They're just a fun group to watch. Don't even mind it when they beat SA, tbh.

I usually take playoff series defeats really hard. But when GS beat us in the WCF last year, it was hard to be too upset. That is a damn good team. It is what it is.

Now that series with Portland in 2014...

Same Well, up until the 2013 NBA Finals. The way SA lost that one tore me up irl--had to reevaluate how I watched sports, because it was getting unhealthy

We do not speak of this

I wanted a second straight all-Texas matchup for SA

Yeah we do Even when we lose, we desperately try to cling to relevancy.

Really wish this guy would quit coasting just because he won a title last year

HOU with the comeback win last night vs. POR. Back to .500, but more importantly, back in the 8th seed.

SA moves to 6-1 on their annual Rodeo Road Trip. The trip finishes up with a visit to HOU on Sat.

Curry is making 67% of his shots beyond 28 feet this year. The NBA as a whole shoots 59.8%...from inside of three feet.

Statistically, it's better for Curry to take a 28 foot contested three than for Andrew Bogut to try a three foot floater.
