A few thoughts ....
(a) She's stinkin' adorable.
(b) She made those comments when she was a kid. Regrettable words (she's admitted as much), but that's what kids do: screw up, then learn. Years ago I referred to some Mexican landscapers at our house as wetbacks (my dad was not happy w me). Obviously I wouldn't do so now. I'd like to think that the hundreds of dumb things I said as a child--thankfully, not chronicled digitally--would not affect my current and future endeavors.
(c) I bet the Greatest Generation didn't become offended over what 13-year-olds said. They were too busy fighting wars, storming beaches, and being men and stuff.
(d) "Don't judge someone because they sin differently than you do."
(e) Pageants. I just don't get em.
