But it doesn't take nearly as long to rebuild in basketball. 3 years is an eternity in bball whereas it can take that long to rebuild in football because that game is so dependent on size and strength, and you can't build those overnight.

The other problem is that Kennedy isn't a good coach. By that I mean that recruiting isn't the only problem. We make bone headed mistakes all the freaking time and you don't need top-notch athletes to exhibit sound fundamentals.

Best case is we get enough talent to overcome his numerous schematic and instructional deficiencies ala Scott Drew (and I don't think Kennedy is on that level recruiting-wise). I think we can do better than that.
