That's a great picture! Congrats to your brother. Sorry I missed your dad by a year - would have enjoyed giving him hell knowing he'd spawn you.

By the way (and I really don't mean to hijack the thread, but it isn't worth a separate post), I recently found out something about my ring that may or may not apply to you young'uns that may be useful info at some point. I got my ring to fit my left ring finger, because 1) I knew there was no way in hell anybody would ever marry me and 2) deathgrip handshakes - I was good at those. So I got older and weirdly got married, put on some weight, and the ring wouldn't fit on my fat right ring finger. I took it to a jeweler to be resized, and they told me the original maker had a lifetime warranty and they could do it free. It turned out the original maker had changed ownership twice since '79, but I contacted the latest and they told me they couldn't resize it as much as I needed, but the warranty covered fat frickin' fingers and they'd make me a new ring! Which they did, 2 ownership changes and 34 years later, and I'm wearing it now. That's a damn good guarantee, in my opinion. If your ring was made by Balfour, pour acid on it, drive over it, grind it up in your wood-chipper, doesn't matter - you're good to go.

Hope you don't mind me borrowing your thread, Tbird; but I thought this was great as well:

Terrific info. Thanks for that, finest!

Makes me feel kinda good too, cuz I got my ring sized just a tad big, but I like it that way for some reason. At least if/when I get fat fingers, I should still be good to go

Speaking of famous Former Students, former TAMU defensive back Damontre Moore also happened to be there today. Took the time out to hobnob with another one of my little brothers (and of course Mom was handy with the camera )

Gig 'Em in New York, DaMonster!
