And I'd be damn happy with Jimbo.

Give her a 10 year deal and her husband has to direct and star in at least two movies set in Texas that are at minimum as offensive as Grimsby.

Just wanted to pop in and say mike leach at any of the schools we play yearly terrifies me.

He’s not my first choice, but I’d take him over chad Morris in a heartbeat.

Doesn’t get A&M, except when he plays us. Next.

After he was fired, I remember him saying a lot of nice things about our fanbase and traditions on his radio show. He has sent a lot of compliments our way ever since leaving Tech.

He was recently asked about Oregon's loud environment and one of the first schools he named as being louder was Kyle Field.

I'll be happy just to have an offense that utilizes a Tight End and a Full Back.

I agree, just being sarcastic. We should’ve tried hiring him when Fran was fired but that would’ve been too progressive for the powers that be

I think that’s dead. Better off keeping Sumlin and waiting another year for him to progress

Coaching carousel gets more interesting as Arky and UCLA fire their guys. Ags better act quickly

And do what exactly? Just because we haven't fired Sumlin doesn't mean we aren't shopping around.

Agree they are shopping around quietly and gauging interest. However....

Is it just me or did Sumlin look like a guy that wasn't that concerned about losing his job vs Ole Miss? He seemed to be pretty comfortable on the sideline. Maybe he has his next gig lined up already?

If the Ags somehow beat LSU or at least play a close game, could Sumlin somehow hold on for another year? I wouldn't have given him much of a chance 2-3 weeks ago and figured he was surely gone but now it seems within the realm of possibility he could survive with a close game vs LSU.

It has as much to do with what is happening elsewhere. There are a number of big programs already in full blown search mode which is pretty unusual. Nebraska isn't in the mix yet but then again A&M, and Oregon aren't officially in either. Florida, Tenn, UCLA, A&M, Nebraska, Oregon, etc... that's a lot of quality HC opening. Certainly not hurting Sumlin's chances of hanging on somehow.

Not sure how credible Clay Travis is but this was in his recent article. I know it's only his opinion, but it's more smoke:

"I think there is real momentum for Jimbo Fisher to leave Florida State and I’m told Texas A&M may be firing Kevin Sumlin no matter what happens in the LSU game. That is, the relationship is broken between Sumlin’s bosses at A&M and him.

So I’m actually predicting right now that Jimbo is going to leave FSU and take the A&M job. I think Jimbo wants out of Tallahassee for personal reasons more than anything else."
