I've been a JFF supporter every step of the way, but he needs to STFU

I've never heard a coach that exasperated in a postgame interview after a three TD win. Sumlin is clearly tired of his act and, frankly, I am too.

The dude might be the best player in the country, but the kind of idiocy it takes to do shite like that after all he has put us through this offseason is unfathomable to me. The kid is a complete dumbass.

Are you kidding me?

I still hope he signs the football after his first rushing TD this season.

Playing with a chip on your shoulder =/ Being a dumbass.

It's Rice, in your first QUARTER back from being suspended for an act that could have cost your program an entire season of relevancy, and you have the audacity to talk shite to some meaningless CUSA player and get a flag thrown on you?

The lack of personal accountability it takes to do something like that is literally incomprehensible to me. Manziel has something outside a rational human mind if that was a normal reaction for him given the situation.

Sumlin's reaction was something I've never seen from a coach, especially after a win. He was FUMING and did his absolute best to hide it. How stupid does a player have to be to get his coach that angry at him over a meaningless TD against Rice?

It may have been a stupid thing to do, but I fully support him talking shite, showing emotion after a TD, etc. He may need to learn when to do it, but I have zero problem with him doing what he did

I would support him if our coach did. Sumlin clearly thought it was an issue and thus, so do I.

Sumlin has clearly addressed this with him and he mocked his coach and team by doing what he did. So fricking stupid and so easily avoidable. Even worse was the fact that he brushed Sumlin aside while he was reaming him.

I didn't think sumlin seemed that mad. He's probably more mad about the fact Manziel's flag means he has to answer questions about it, than the actual act. If he was really upset with JFF, he would do something.

JFF wasn't playing the last series anyway.

Seriously? The guy who wont announce suspensions until 90seconds before the game REEMS his QB in a postgame interview and you don't think he seemed mad?

A guy who never stumbls over his words stumbled over his words trying not to say let loose on camera. Dude was FUMING. Sumlin never loses his cool and he came THAT close to doing it on live TV.

He was out of breathe, from running towards the locker room. It was an emotional first game after an offseason full of slander/speculation. Sumlin isn't a great public speaker either. He stutters sometimes, and always uses a lot of vocal pauses. #umm

Also what's your definition of Ream?

The guy who wont so much as tell A&M insiders about suspensions before a game told a national ESPN reporter than his Heisman winner was an idiot who was taken out because of his idiocy. The contrast to his normal demeanor couldn't be more stark. It takes a true homer to ignore what happened there. Sumlin was trying so hard to not say "frick him" live on camera.

I don't post on texags. I also don't use it as a deflection technique.

He said the penalty incident "wasn't very smart"

What is he supposed to say there roger? He's expected to say something?

Now you're deflecting again, and resorting to personal attacks? I'm the poster that belongs on texags?

Please, stop.

I think you should log off, you've clearly been drinking.

The fact of the matter is this is either Sumlin's team or Manziel's, and a clear division between the two was made postgame.

Sumlin is pissed.

Agreed. And wasn't it the scoreboard gesture that got the flag and not the air autograph?

He's always going to talk shite, he did it getting back up after being tackled in the cotton bowl. He got an unsportsmanlike penalty doing the Superman gesture in the Miss St. game. I'm just glad he plays with that fire, and until it negatively affects the score I don't have a problem with it.

I think Coach Sumlin was just frustrated at the combination of that penalty, Hall being ejected for punching, and Everett ejected for "targeting". It all happened towards the end and it came out on a question asked specifically about JFF.
