Tomatillo's on Broadway is excellent.
Any Alamo Cafe.
Sunset Station by the Alamodome has good Mexican food and also has a free shuttle to/from the AT&T Center.

Yes! We used to go there for our post-game meals after our hs football games in SA. They have the best chicken fried steak ever.

Perhaps I went there on a bad day. I will say that the décor was nice. Very Texan.

Yeah Alamo Cafe. I'm gonna have to go try that. I just looked and the one Imperial is talking about is only ten minutes from here. Might have to go tomorrow.
