They were 9 and lost to us and they stayed at 9 while they were 5-1. Just wondering if we hold our place with a close loss on the road to #1? Especially with our strength of schedule

Yep. No one is really expecting us to keep it close. In fact, a lot of talking heads say there is a pretty large separation between Bama & Ohio St and the rest of the teams.

Get trounced by 35 to 40 without the legitimate injury excuse that Vols had and we could tumble to 14-15.

Unrelated to your comment but I can tell you that I am a lot more confident about the Ole Miss game after watching Hogs move the ball on them on the ground and in the air. Ole Miss defense is not good against the run... thought they were better than that. LSU moving up my threat board. Yikes

Depends on how we lose, tbh.

UT didn't drop after playing us because they took a top 10 team to double OT on the road. We do the same to Bama, we'll get a ton of respect.

If we get blown out, however, that'll be a whole 'nother deal entirely.

They looked pathetic out there at times. A lot of pissed off players on the sidelines. Looks like Freeze has an attitude problem brewing.

I think so, you will actually gain a lot of respect around the nation if you make it a great game. No one has been able to do that to Bama yet.

Yes...if you lose by approximately 40 points, you will drop 8-9 spots. Anything less than 2 TDs, and you will only drop a few places.
