Sig bet for Hou vs SA?
If either team goes 2-0, winner picks the loser's sig for a week.

He won't do it because he believes the Spurs might be comfortable in the 6 spot. Tough to bet if you aren't sure if both teams want to win.

What??? They have a shot to move all the way to a 2 seed if they win out. 2 seed means home for the first 2 rounds and you avoid GS until the WCF.

That's my point: the 6 seed also means this
MIGHT be a safer proposition to sandbag for the 6 than to make a leap for the 2 or 3. But who knows what Pop is thinking
That said, I accept the terms of your wager, ol' sport. Long live the I-10 Rivalry

I guess if you considers Memphis, Houston, & LAC all about the same. However you likely lose home court in 2nd unless the 7 comes through. And lets be real Dallas aint winning shite this year so no home court in the 2nd round.

So does the 6 seed, and they don't have to risk landing in between those spots.
To get to the 2 seed, the Spurs have to pass the 4/5 spots. Those spots would play the Warriors before the WCF. If they attempt to get the 2 seed but fall short, they could be in a worse spot than they are now.

Home court isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be. The advantage has been minimal this year, and in the playoffs the team with home court wins more often, but the biggest reason for that is that they are a better team.

This.
Honestly, since about halfway through this season, I quit giving a damn about the number seed SA gets. I just wanted them to be healthy/gelling. If they're on their game, they have a legit shot to win any series, on any floor--and that sentiment goes for a few other Western teams, as well.

Same thing he thinks every year:
1) Keep the Big 3 rested and get everyone else healthy (Leonard)
2) Get through the Rodeo Road Trip
3) Stay within eyeball range of the leaders
4) Come playoff time kick in the afterburners
5) Enjoy the celebration on the River Walk
