That was never the point of the SEC rant. Not everyone shares your obsession with the old Rivalries board.

The rant is nothing like old rivalries. I hate that board, it's realistically 99% aggies laughing at the sips and Baylor, making pointed personal attacks at each other, and a handful of obvious alters pretending to be sips.
The rant is a lot more even, limits the personal attacks, is very funny, and sometimes clever if you can keep your jimmies unrustled. I don't go to the rant for discussion; if I wanted reasoned debate I go to a team board and have a nice polite conversation where I can say I think someone's coach or RB sucks and not get banned from the site for it. The rant is just rambunctious fun. It's probably the best neutral ground for college sports I've found.

Have an upvote. I like the Rant for the give and take (plus I don't take it seriously, so it never makes me mad 
).
I still post on old rivalries occasionally, but it's heyday was during the SEC move, tbh. Now it's a shell of its former self for a variety of reasons, the biggest of which is TAMU doing better than all the other major schools in football for the most part.

Wow, you guys are feisty today. I never gave my opinion on what "the point" of tRant was. I'm pretty sure it was to keep all of the other teams posters from trolling the Tiger Rant.

Its heyday was when it was called Rivarlies. I remember a 'shop I made from that time of Sherm squat thrusting a barrel of whale sperm while Tubs watched. It was a weird and wonderful place.
I thinking the Rant goes across the spectrum. Some days it sucks and is rehashed garbage, some days its trolling genius, some days its a good quiet conversation with non-LSU fans.
I feel the opposite- I am proud of how we act on there. We rarely bite on weak bait and we get some hooks in ourselves.
