Dammit Aggie Football, gettin my hopes all up again for next season....

Great news and will be a key piece to our offense looking a lot better than in 2022.

If we get the O-Line sorted out, this offense could put up big numbers with Weigman, Smith, Moose, and Stewart. I also expect Owens to get a few carries early, then gradually surpass Daniels and Moss.

Oh, dont take it so literally you bright ray of sunshine! Just making a collective joke about offseason hopes, I'm just as glass half empty as anyone these days.

As it stands I legitmately excpect us to get 8-9 wins in 2023. We've got the talent, now have a little more experience across the board and a dedicated play caller. Should all translate to more wins, but still not enough for what we should be achieving under year 6 of Jimbo.

Ainias coming back will be a big help to the offense though. Him, Stewart, Moose are a pretty dang good starting WR group, and it looks like we've finally settled on a good starting QB who can throw to them.

I hope like hell things turn around. I have little faith but I hope.

If Bobby P really does have free reign then at minimum we should no longer suffer from the offense taking a month and a day to get lined up for each play. I’m far too lazy to even attempt to go back and count them up but I bet a large percentage of our pre snap penalties and mental mistakes like missed assignments or wrong routes were directly/indirectly influenced by players losing their composure due to being rushed to get set. If those kinds of penalties cleaned up the offense will improve a great deal. That alone should swing a close game or two our way.

We’ll know pretty fast if BP and Jimbo are simpatico b/c next year has a very tough first half of the schedule. 2-5 heading into our bye week isn’t an unrealistic scenario.

New Mexico
at Miami
ULM
Auburn
vs Arkansas
Alabama
at Tennessee
BYE
South Carolina
at Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Abilene Christian
at LSU

If we are 2-5 heading into the bye, you’ll have your wish and jimbo will be gone. Zero chance he survives something like that. I highly doubt that happens, but if it does he will be gone.

Damn, that seems grim:

New Mexico (W)
at Miami (W)
ULM (W)
Auburn (W)
vs Arkansas (W)
Alabama (W)
at Tennessee (W)
BYE (L... )

5-0 heading into the bye week makes more sense than 2-5
