In my mind, you guys are at least the 5th best team in the SEC & I could just about make an argument for 4th (I have Gators at 4 because their loss vs MI looks better than a loss to UCLA)
outside of the 2nd half breakdown in game 1 - y'all have looked very good & seem to be getting better every week
win in week one and y'all are PROBABLY ranked in top 15, maybe as high as 12
as it stands, I think you SHOULD be ranked now (as I don't think WV is that good)
If I HAD to bet; would take Aggies & points this weekend (but really don't wanna touch that game)
hoping you do well against Bama on Saturday & I am definately pulling for you
outside of Bama, Florida and Auburn, you should be favored in every other game (and Gators look like a team you can beat)
RIGHT NOW I see 8-4 for y'all and maybe even 9-3
if you keep improving, Auburn might be a winnable game
if you go 8-4 - is Sumlin safe?

9-3 plus a bowl win is the only way he can be certain he comes back next year
I give him a 50/50 shot of returning with these
9-3 with bowl loss for 9-4 final
8-4 with bowl win for 9-4 final

8-4 with an LSU win gets him a 2 year extension

We were tied with Nichols State with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter

Auburn was up by 1 TD against Mercer (much worse team than Nichols) with less than 5 minutes in the 4th
teams develop & get better through the season

8-4 is definitely not safe, 9-3 almost certainly is because the narrative will be that the season record is improving and with such a young squad they should be better in 2018.
A big factor is how he finishes, beating LSU and winning a bowl game will help a lot but not gaurentee him a 2 year extension as was said earlier. He still needs to show a lot and prove the team is trending in the right direction. Just because a team is young doesn’t mean they’re gaurenteed to play better next year, you still have to develop the talent.

He 100% absolutely must beat LSU. I think it all rides on that game tbh.

I think that if he is competitive with Bama, Auburn & Florida plus wins the rest of his games, he is safe
If y'all get embarrassed by Bama & Aub, lose to UF & LSU; then yeah, hard to see him staying

What if we get shut out by Alabama (first home shutout loss since 1971), embarrassed by Florida, lose to Mississippi State, lose to Auburn, barely beat New Mexico, and go winless vs. WAOM and LSU?

we might be improving but we're living dangerously right now with zero depth at any position besides RB.

sumlin has to go 9-3, at least. that was before the start of the season and the ucla collapse.
nothings changed since then.

Here is how 9-3 is possible with A&M fans being ok with it.
MUST beat Florida
MUST win all remaining non conf games
MUST win all SECW games outside of Bama and Auburn

I don't know about that. At 9-3, shite gets dicey for us.
Everyone knows the SEC is dogshit this year. But do you really fire a guy who goes 9-3 with a backup QB?
I just don't know that we do, especially in today's climate. Don't get me wrong, I lost faith in him. But is 9-3 really grounds for termination? In today's world were SJWism runs amock, I don't even want to entertain the idea of firing our first black coach after going 9-3. ESPN will kill us for weeks and negative recruiting will go through the roof.

He won’t go 9-3, so discussion doesn’t really matter
