JUCO DE Tyree Owens visiting for Tennessee and announcing his commitment that same weekend. Sounds like he's ours if we want him.

Any recent video of this guy?

2017 recruiting could shape up nicely. Staff looks like they are already putting together a stellar 2018 class too.

They still have a lot work to due, we aren't a favorite for any of the 4 247 composite 5 stars in Texas.

Wilson did visit on Saturday but turned around and went to Austin on Sunday and got a flood of crystals balls to tu right after.

Unless something drastically changes or someone has seen some inside info I don't think we get a visit from any of the other 3.

We seem to be taking a lot of projects this year, hopefully some of them are just under the radar players.

Zero of the top 20 kids in Texas are committed to A&M and zero would sign with A&M if NSD was today. Fortunately we're not close to NSD and this season has potential, but we have a ton of ground to make up and this staff has not closed well historically.

This season definitely has potential. One bad thing about Mond being at IMG is his classification to Florida, he would be the 11th ranked recruit in Texas if he was still playing at his past school. Hopefully with him being at IMG, and so far doing well, brings us more attention from recruits. Would be awesome to pick up that OC he plays with.

IMHO Mond's FL classification looks good on paper. We're supposed to be able to recruit TX kids. But the only FL kid I can remember, Tony Stevens, who committed to us briefly before decommitting and going to WDE. If other recruits see we're going into new states (I.e. FL, AZ), more recruits from that state usually follow.

A bunch of top 20 kids wants to start right away. A&M can't offer them that opportunity. A&M signed 2 last year, 3 the previous year, and 4 in the stellar 2014 class.

Only 3 kids from the 2014 class started last week (Garrett, Watts, and Harvey). Sooner or later fans need to realize that these coaches might be pretty good at evaluating talent too.

Yes this staff can evaluate. That's why they've offered everyone in the top 20 except for the UT QB commit and the OU safety. So it's not that this staff doesn't want the top 20 kids.

And a bunch of those guys would play opening day for us next year. Marvin, Hines, Browning, Okudah, Little, Dobbins, Brock Wright would all be on in the 2 deep immediately. In fact, they'll all probably end up at places where it will be harder to start at than A&M.

Sumlin lost his swag with the elite recruits after Kyle and Kyler quit the team. He hasn't had any success against Charley since.

Pretty impressive prospect. He's an Aggie legacy and he is an early enrollee.

I count 9 starters from the 2014 class.

Josh Reynolds
Speedy Noil
Avery Gennesy
Jermaine Eluemunor
Myles Garrett
Otaro Alaka
Armani Watts
Donovan Wilson
Nick Harvey

The only one of the 9 I mentioned who didn't start against UCLA was Speedy.
