I will never vote Democrat. I voted Bob Barr in 2008.

Clifford Chattman's teammate, Sci Martin (3* DE), has decommitted from TCU and is still weighing his decision. I hope he considers A&M.

Everyone's banking on him to be a Tiger.

Would anyone be able to put together a guess as to the size of the 2017 class we will be shooting for and current position numbers and targets?

You guys must be planning on converting a bunch of DE's into linebackers. I see 1 LB and 5 DEs recruited to play in a 3-4 defense over the last 2 years. Doesn't make much sense at all.

I'm guessing between 17-20.

2 of the 3 they recruited this year will play linebacker. Rashaan Thornton and Andre Anthony.

I'll keep pounding sand until you guys believe this is a GREAT class. I was a strategic planner in my former life and we had to perform "net" assessments.

A&M added a lot of talent if you include the transfers. It is ludicrous to act as if Trevor Knight, TD Moton, Keith Ford, and Priest Willis aren't on the team. That would be like ignoring Cam Newton or Chad Kelly when they transferred.

All four were rated 4-stars by ESPN. Moton, Willis, and Keith Ford were all ESPN 300 players nationally (Ford and Willis were even rated 5-stars by some services).

Add those 4 transfers to the players we recruited and you get 17 (blue chips 5/4 star recruits). That is more talent than the sips added (12) and more than BU (13). It is actually more than any team in the SEC outside of Bama (20) and LSU (19)

Bama 20
LSU 19
A&M 17
Ole Miss 16 (includes 2 Five Stars)
BU 13
Sips 12

So in other words, you had to package a shite sandwich into a brief that a general officer wanted to hear without 80% of the actual truth.

I've had to do the same several times. In fact, as an S6/G6/J6/C6, they NEVER want to hear that "I can't provide google fiber-like service through a JNN".

I get what you're saying, Chill. And there's something to it. It's just that right now, signing day, we missed out on so much, that it's hard not to think of what might have been.

I don't know if it has been mentioned here or not, but Ikenna Okeke has a younger brother named Nick who is also a DB in Smyrna. I know Notre Dame was interested in both of the Okeke brothers. Probably a pretty good chance Nick also signs with A&M in 2017.

Martell just tweeted "Loyalty is key..." then "And now it's a little suspect...". The second one has since been deleted. But here's the first.

I would really like to think they're smart enough to talk to him before they offer another QB, but at this point nothing would surprise me
