Basically if my 'stros don't win the West, it'll be a failure unless they make a crazy run through the WC.

Here are fangraphs blended projections of our fellow aggys
Positional Players:
Tyler Naquin:
.259/.325/.405 .147 ISO .314 wOBA 94 wRC+ 1.2 WAR
Cliff Pennington:
.220/.293/.306 .085 ISO .267 wOBA 67 wRC+ 0.1 WAR
Justin Ruggiano (doesn't have blended projections, steamer is only projecting 1 AB so I'm using ZiPS):
.238/.307/.396 .158 ISO .306 wOBA 92 wRC+ -0.1 WAR
Pitchers (im using steamer for these since they have more complete projections for pitchers):
Michael Wacha:
4.04 ERA 4.01 FIP 4.22 xFIP 19.4 K% 7.5 BB% 11.9 K-BB% 1.7 WAR
Ross Stripling:
3.58 ERA 3.58 FIP 3.73 xFIP 21.7 K% 6.6 BB% 15.1 K-BB% 0.5 WAR
Daniel Mengden (using ZiPS because they are the only projection that has him making more than one appearance):
4.71 ERA 4.28 FIP 1.4 WAR
Logan Kensing (using ZiPS for same reason):
4.39 ERA 4.16 FIP 0.2 WAR
Alex Wilson:
4.41 ERA 4.43 FIP 4.71 xFIP 16.6 K% 7.5 K% 9.1 K-BB% 0.9 WAR

We're going as far as our pitching staff takes us. The batting order is probably the best I've ever seen wearing the orange and blue.

I had a fantasy draft yesterday. I tried to go as Houston/A&M heavy as I could so I could enjoy my team a little more.
Correa, Springer, Bregman, McCullers, Keuchel, Giles, Wacha, and Naquin.
Altuve was gone before my first pick.
I am not sure any other Aggie is worth rostering at this point.

Yeah, pitching still makes me nervous.

It is our most glaring weak spot. I really wanted to trade for another high end starter like Quintana. I guess there is still a chance at the deadline.

I hope we can get something rolling. Side note: Went to the game last night, and although I hate it because it isn't the hill, center field actually looks really nice.

I liked the hill alright, but it doesn't bother me that its not. I'm excited to check out Torchys deck out there. It'll probably help out hitters a little too. 425 pop outs are tough to swallow sometimes.
I know you were at the game, but next time you watch on TV, what do you think of the new camera angle? I think I like it, but I want to see more.

Archer looked great today. He would be expensive but if he can turn it around this year I think he's the best ace upside of guys that might be available at the deadline. I really like Quintana and wouldn't have minded dealing for him, but Archer has dynamite stuff
