After two years of nothing I'm just glad to see them going somewhere. This is gon' supercharge crootin, imo. The past two drafts have been murder.

But yeah, I feel ya.

Completely agree prof I'm very excited for the impact this should have in recruiting and I assume butch will take full advantage of this good press.

This was Jones first draft eligible class and he puts 6 in the first 4 rounds, including a 1st rounder. That's the BEST draft we've had since 2003. And this wasn't his highest recruiting class.

Butch needs to do what he does best and sell the frick out of that.

Makes me wonder what could have been.

Well 2 of the six didn't play all year and a third missed key time that probably cost us the Sugar Bowl with Hurd going all Diva. But keep in mind that class wasn't the best recruiting class. It was actually underwhelming. We have far more talent on the roster than people realize. Last season wasn't an all or nothing proposition even though chances were better.

Six draft picks in the first four rounds and we lose to god damn Vanderbilt with a Sugar Bowl berth on the line

Don't remind me. I already had hotel reservations made in New Orleans.

Y'all are going all Legion of the Miserable on a program win. This draft is great for the program and the future.

Agreed. Huge day for this program. Without all of the injuries last season would have been really special, but I'm not going to cry over spilt milk. I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this successful draft weekend.

Go VOLS & Go Steelers

Perfect spot for Dobbs. Big Ben is old and injury prone and Landry is terrible. Such a relief that JRM is already gone.

Yeah, I was worried JRM's shoulders combined with being a tad undersized would hurt him but it looks like his talent was too good to pas on. If he can stay healthy, he'll make his team very happy.

Bengals coaches saying that Josh Malone was really well coached. That he has the fundamentals and techniques that they don't often see. They said they see a lot of college WRs with good numbers but poor technique and fundamentals but with Malone he's been well coached and has those things. Said that Josh will come in a lot more ready than most.

I wonder if Croom or Vereen will get a free agent look?

I honestly thought Vereen might be a late rounder.

I thought Vereen could've gone late too but this draft just had a ton of talent on defense. Anyway, Vereen went signed with New England, Croom signed with the Bills and Foreman has signed (I think) with the Texans. He's the only one I'm not sure on.

LaTroy Lewis has some rookie mini camp invites.

Dobbs had the fourth highest wonderlic score out of the 12 QB's with a 29 out of 50.

Former VOL Peterman had the second highest at 32

Ran a 4.37 at pro-day. He's Coleman 2.0 if you put him in the nickel. He only played CB last season because of the injuries. With that speed and Martinez' lousy coaching I wouldn't count him out - that's speed to spare.
