IMO

- We need to get off to a fast start on offense for once. Sooner or later these two and three touchdown deficits will come back to bite us. I expect Sanford to be pretty rowdy and if Tennessee can jump out early, it will take the crowd out of the game and make UGA's offense one dimensional, which brings me to my next point

- Force Georgia to throw it often. UGA's OL is very bad and they have a freshman QB who has not handled the blitz very well. I read somewhere that Eason had a 4.8 QBR against OM and did not complete a pass against a blitz until the 4th quarter. Even with Chubb not at 100%, UGA still has a very talented crew in the backfield with Michel, Herrien and Holyfield. Get Georgia in a hole early and Jim Chaney will abandon the running game with a quickness, as we all know too well. Shoop did this exact same thing to Chaney when he was at Vandy in 2012 and really allowed his defense to tee off on Bray and Worley. If we can get consistent pressure and stop the run with just four, Georgia could really find themselves in a tough position offensively.

- Keep Dobbs upright and we can exploit their secondary. If the OL plays like they did against Florida, there will be mismatches deep as Georgia's backend is their biggest weakness on defense.

- Looking at the stats, it seems to me that Georgia special teams are quite bad. Their hipster kicker has missed more than he's made and their punter has the second lowest average in the SEC. I think we had a big advantage here but McKenzie is very dangerous on punt returns.

- Watch Isaiah McKenzie. He had a few drops against Ole Miss and he's very small but he is by far UGA'a most explosive player on offense. Georgia does not have a lot of talent at this unit or a big WR that can go get the ball like an Antonio Callaway (UF) or Isaiah Ford (VT) imo. This little fricker has the type of speed to take a simple out route or slant to the house if Tennessee's defense is not careful.

Georgia's front seven stood out to me. They are entirely too talented to be such non-factors. They look soft.

Eason has a big arm, but no touch. He plays dumb.

Our pass rush needs to step up outside of Barnett. The secondary has to be ready. Eason has the arm and they have the athletes.

Can Tennessee finally play a clean four quarters?
What's the word on Chubb and JRM?

Stop the run. Pressure Eason. Run the ball well on offense with Dobbs.

Pretty simple

I know my post was too long but I am bored at work and was thinking out loud. I'm not used to being this optimistic about VOLS at this point in the season

McKenzie is the only receiver they have who hasn't looked like arse this entire season. Their line might actually be worse than ours, think we'll be able to do a decent job stopping the run regardless of who is in the backfield. Force them into obvious passing situations and Barnett will feast.

As long as the offense from the 2nd half of UF shows up, we should be fine IMO.

Eason completes only 52% of his passes. Of that number, several go to his FBs and TEs. Godwin was a 5 star and seems to be struggling as is Reggie Davis. Don't let McKenzie get behind the secondary.

Just don't give Eason time to get comfortable and put him bad down and distance situations and we should be fine. I bet we "let" Eason have the dump off passes which will be frustrated but then Shoop will dial up some confusion once they get into Tennessee territory.

He's done better than average. If he can get his receivers to catch the damn ball head be good to great.

I feel like our offense finally grew up in the second half of the Florida game. I could be wrong but I don't think we'll have any more slow starts. The team found the rhythm they'd been searching for all season and Dobbs and the WRs/TEs got into perfect sync. Really, the entire team grew up and I think they grew into the expectations we've had for them.

The mantra for the team all off-season and during the season has been 'Own it' and they did just that. They've found what they have been searching for and I think they'll keep getting better from here on out.

As long as we stay grounded and build off of the confidence boost that Saturday provided we'll be a force to reckon with. I love our DL and pass rush against UGA's OL and freshman QB. I also like our secondary against their WRs.

The biggest concern I have is containing Sony Michel. Although Chubb is the better overall back, I think Michel's more dangerous than Chubb to our defense. We're better built to contain traditional runners like Chubb than we are runners like Michel who are bit more unpredictable. We have to be able to contain both (actually all of them since UGA seems to be playing a stable this year) but Michel is the one I have the most concerns about just given our personnel and style of defense.

Did y'all see the comments from Barnett about Tuttle being excited to play Georgia? Jones also told the knoxville QB Club that Kublanow's block is unacceptable.

I missed it. What did Barnett say? I'm glad Jones is reminding our team that this is a 'revenge' game. I'd rather the team approach it from that perspective than from the perspective of 'oh we beat them last year and we just beat UF so we're hot stuff' or whatever. I want this team to keep a chip on its shoulders all year and play every game like they're out for blood.

Nice. The DL is going to be crazy hyped for this game. I love it!
