UT Cracking Down on Drunk Fans This Season

I seriously doubt they received any more complaints than normal. This is the usual KPD bullshite money grab excuse and quite frankly the city of Knoxville needs to tell KPD to frick itself. KPD absolutely killed the strip when they decided to stop outdoor alcohol sales, crack down on pedestrians, carrying a plastic beer from one indoor shop to the next, and generally act like the morality police. Those policy turned the Strip into an embarrassing WE BUY GOLD!! hellhole and eyesore by making it impossible for restaurants to operate and gain the revenues they needed to survive when school is out of session. It also killed revenues at restaurants farther West as fans didn't want the headache of an overzealous police force pulling over every car on the road without cause.

IOW, KPD acting overzealously is bad for business and bad for the gameday experience in general.

KPD needs to stick to worrying about traffic and problem drunks - those pedestrians causing real disorderly behavior (e.g. over the top abusive language, starting fights etc.) as well as those drunks swerving all over the road and/or driving obviously impaired and dangerously.

frick the KPD, they're all just a bunch of losers who nobody liked in high school. So they're like "I'll become a cop, so I can frick with people that made fun of me"
