This team is an OL away from competing for the East this year. The defense has been crazy good.

The 2015 Volunteer team will be loaded on defense. Lose AJ and that is pretty much it. Bring in another loaded class of freshmen, all the young beasts gain a year of S&C and experience, and we return our play makers (JRM and Sutton).

The offense can only get better. I expect a serviceable OL (I think CBJ is redshirt in Blair strategically), a loaded stable of RBS and WRs, but the QB position is a huge question mark. Mobility will definitely be improved... hopefully a better OL will pave the way for some QB success.

2015 will be the first time in a long time that we are loaded at many positions. Hang in there gentlemen. We only get better from here on out.

Who was saying, "wait until next year" last year?

One can look at it one of two ways: enjoy the rise or sulk for another year.

Eta: sorry, my original post was assholish

Agreed. We need to win soon to keep up success on the recruiting trail too.

It sucks arse to have to wait, but was is the alternative?

I guess give up.

But I can't. I can't quit my Vols. It's the football equivalent of loving a recovering addict. You want them to get better, you look for the signs, then something happens and you feel like nothing has changed. The Florida game was like a big time relapse.

And yet on Saturday, there was the best fanbase in the country packing out Neyland for a noon game, doing the checkerboard section thing all on their own, raising hell and trying to will this team to victory over an inferior Florida team that was handing this game over on a platter. And somehow, Tennessee fricked it up. It's like we keep watching the same movie that we've seen 100 times and we always try to convince ourselves that it's not gonna be the same this time. This fanbase deserves better than the crap they've been put thru for nearly the past decade.

I'm in the VOLS section, which happens to be right beside the Alabama section, and these two little Gumps that were maybe 12 or 13 years old come walking over with their Alabama hats and shirts on. I'm just minding my own business and I overhear one of them say to the other "Dude, you should buy your dad this crappy orange shirt for his birthday and piss him off". The other replies "Haha, Tennessee freaking blows dude. No way I would waste my money on that crap for a joke. They can't even beat Florida."

You should've said " and bama can't even beat ole miss, you little frick."
