I didn't think it was a bad hire.
I don't really remember anyone openly thinking we got some great coach, but I was cautiously optimistic after researching his record at other schools. I think this was the case with most of us, after we got over that Pearl wasn't coming back.
30 is definitely the only poster to actively say Butch isn't a good coach. But that is unquestionably a troll (at least I hope it is)

Regarding 30, I honestly don't know if he's trolling anymore. Yes, I know he's said that and he's good about talking bball recruits but otherwise he's been consistently ill-mannered and hateful towards our coaches for ages. And likes no one outside of Tyndall in any sport/
Trust me, there was ZERO trolling of outsiders when he told me he hated our LVs (not just wasn't interested but hated) because according to him they took away from the men's basketball team. 30 also said he didn't respect Summitt - come the frick on. How can anyone not respect Summitt and her accomplishments and class? Even if you don't give a shite about our women's sports (which is fine) to insult Summitt and call yourself a Tennessee fan or even a basketball fan in general is out there. NONE of this was said in his supposed troll threads.

I miss robsports, he was a dedicated ex-UT fan who loved Gruden and hated Butch. 100% of his posts were about his hatred of UT and Butch.

I don't remember carrythefight but robssports was nuts and never made any sense - quite comical, imo. But I don't know if he was truly disgruntled or not. I often thought he was an undercover Vandy fan because that would've definitely given him the same knowledge about the program as a UT fan since it's so well covered inside the state. He could've been either, imo but that's about the only two fanbases I can see him being a part of because for all his insane ramblings he brought up stuff few outside of the state would know about.

He was probably the greatest Vol poster ever. Would start random threads all the time and every fan hated him on the rant. It was awesome. But alas, he was destroyed
