I'm pounding beer and walking to the nearest socially acceptable place to turn this iPad or cell phone on at and try and catch a little bit of the game.

There are going to be far more LSU fans than UT fans at the wedding but your point remains

frick you. Who the frick gets married during football season in the first place?

Any of y'all have season tix for the game that you're looking to unload? My buddies are coming in town so they're looking.

And where's the reception, we can stop by after we win!

One of my buddy's gf has season tix, but they're likely accounted for at this point. Reception is on Broadway but I will not disclose the exact location.

What is the worst that could happen. A couple vol fans walk in drunk and trash the place... On second thought keep your mouth shut about the location.

It's at Aerial most likely.

My own mother wouldn't attend if I scheduled a wedding during Football Season. I'd probably have an easier time with some of the guys in the fam. Mom would look at me stone cold and tell me she raised me better.
Hell, I'd have a hard time to getting her full attention if it took place during a men's or women's basketball game. I'd have better luck if it were before/after but she's seriously gotten off the phone with me on an important call because the men's bball team was on. And what makes it even more complicated is she loves her SEC football -- all of it.
And before you basitds start... She's not a Tammy type but one of those genteel and during her prime and even til her 40s and 50s drop dead gorgeous southern ladies that had wealthy, white collar, men fawning over her. Marriage material. She seriously could've had some rich mofos head over heels. She still get hit on and my granny was the same way.
But again scheduling a wedding during foosball season is a about the only way to invoke her wrath. And if you can't tell that makes me sooo proud of her!

My wife's best friend from college was getting married the same night as UT-UF in 98. When we got the invitation and request for my wife to be a bridesmaid, I told my wife: "Have fun. You know where I will be." Sleeping on the couch for awhile was quite worth watching that game.

I hope cas4t enjoys celebrating his anniversary every year on a football Saturday. Good luck with that one.

My cousin thought he was smart back in 1998 getting married on UGA's bye week. Everyone was happy that day.
Fast forward 5 years. Their anniversary was on the weekend of the 03 LSU game..ended up being a massive game that (unfortunately for us) most LSU fans would tell you was one of the turning points of their program in this century.
Fact is, if you have a fall wedding, it's going to bite you in the arse at some point down the line.
