This is utterly bizarre. I don't know what the hell Hurd and his family did to piss off the media so much but they did and the response by Hyams and KNS is both childish and incredibly out of place.
The head coach handled this departure with class, Jalen's mom has handled it with class, so why the frick is the media trying to stir up shite? This helps no one and dwells on a situation that's been already been settled by the two parties involved.
Why the frick are they trying to make things worse for both UT and Hurd?

How does he not get his access either cut off or limited is a mystery. He is fanning flames that don't need to be fanned and painting UT in a bad light.

So I think I figured out why this was brought up. I knew about this story from earlier (heard about it the day of the Florida game). However, the guy who poses as Jalen's Uncle and who is very likely actually his step-father told everyone that it never happened. Then Arthur (step-dad/Uncle) releases a video rant and claims there was a concussion at UGA and other stuff. This response by Hyams and KNS was directed at him to tell him "We know you're lying."
Shortly after that shot across the bow by the media, Arthur/Step-dad/Uncle takes back what he says about Hurd having a concussion and says it was a headache and that he didn't have a concussion diagnosis til Sunday (if even that can be believed which I don't think it can).
This was "inside baseball" if there ever was any.
