I don't remember App gashing us at all. Option teams are going to get some rushing yards. Their td came off a muffed punt.
We stopped them more on the back in but the massive holes that were being opened up in the front 7 looked very similar to the UK game

It is not Shoop fault, he is doing what he can with a pitiful crew!

A lot of that was #9. We would really be in trouble without him and it will probably rear its ugly head next year how much of a difference Barnett made

I am starting to think this is the case as well. On top of bringing dick heat every snap, he is a leader. The defense will suffer next year, he seems to be one of the only real difference makes on the defense. Always makes a play in crucial times.

Defense next year will likely be
SDE: Phillips
3: Vickers
N: McKenzie/Tuttle
WDE: Taylor/Kongbo
MIKE: Kirkland
WILL: Sapp
CB: Moseley
SS: TK
FS: Abernathy
CB: Buchanan/Osborne/Martin
NICKEL: Gaulden
I think it could be a solid unit tbh. Really need some progression from the secondary and need to develop more depth in the front 7. Warrior and Abernathy at safety and TK moving down to will would not shock me either.

Offense is interesting too (as I'm bored this morning before a flight)
QB: Guarantano
RB: Kelly/Chandler
WR: Malone
WR: Jennings
WR: Smith
TE: Wolf
LT: Smith
LG: Robertson
C: Kendrick
RG: Boulware
RT: Hall
QB comp will be extremely interesting obviously. I think Guarantano is the heavy favorite if the offense remains the same. A scheme change and all bets are off.
The other skill positions seem pretty settled unless somebody really steps up. I think Byrd could find his way in to the starting lineup either at slot or possibly in the secondary.
O-line could go a lot of different ways. I think Kendrick has kind of taken on the Kerbyson role in the coaches eyes. Knows every position and they will have him out there somewhere but could be anywhere. If Smith is as good as everyone thinks I think he is your left tackle. Hall likely your RT and Robertson your LG. That leaves Thomas, Kendrick, Boulware and Hall for the two interior spots. I think Boulware is close to passing Jones at guard and then Kendrick is going to be out there somewhere. If T. Smith isn't ready I would guess Kendrick at LT and Thomas at C.

Barring (shudder) injury, Byrd will most certainly find a spot in the top 11.

He's made a couple big plays but I'm ready for him to go ahead and graduate
Don't even get me started on Martin

Any truth to the rumors that he will be transferring at the end of the season?

I could definitely get behind this. He is a hammer in run support and has a nose for the ball but Kelly's lack of speed gets exploited in pass defense some imo

You don't see Richmond factoring in next year? Or are you assuming he will transfer?

I hope not, we don't need more high profile guys leaving the program.

I don't know if he will be here but I don't see any way he is one of the best 5. He is horrible.
