What was yalls thoughts on how we looked offensively on Saturday?

I think this offense is going to be really fun to watch this year boys. OL looked like it's really put in the work over the off season and ended up impressing me a lot more than I thought they would. Run blocking, pass pro, pulling, getting to the 2nd & 3rd level all looked like it had improved greatly from last season. It was just announced that K. Kerbyson won SEC OL player of the week today. Nice accolade for him. That triple headed rushing attack with Hurd, Kamara, and Dobbs is scary good. Its going to be a nightmare to defend with Pearson, Pig, or Jennings coming across on the sweep and positive push from the OL.

Also, I thought Debord did a good job on his opening night back. Power run game and stretching the field vertically looked good for being so vanilla. Hopefully he's got a few tricks up his sleeve for Saturdays game. Tempo and play calling was nice to see

I'm calling it now, if y'all can string together a 10 win season in the next two years while beating Bama and UGA, Josh Dobbs will win a Heisman. That dude is fricking scary. He looks like a better throwing Vince Young out there, and IMO VY was the best college QB ever.

Kamara and Hurd are definitely top 5 most dangerous tandem in the SEC, probably the third behind Bama and UGA. You guys have an awesome play caller as well, would trade you for Spavital in a heartbeat.

I was drunk and reactionary Saturday...so after watching this it seems that offense looked pretty good. I am interested in how the line and play calling look vs OU and future opponents. BG wasn't a bad team, but we should be able to roll up a ton of offense on a defense like that.

One thing is for sure, we have a ton of skill talent on offense to work with.

Check out the play at :40 seconds into the video. Dobbs, Hurd, or Kamara could have had that ball.

And all of them could have taken it really, really far.

I'm looking for lots of plays like that in the future, taking full advantage of our 3 headed monster.

I agree completely OP. The offense looked fantastic in all phases. I was most surprised by the offensive line and the push they were getting all day. It's going to be really interesting to watch these guys go up against OU and Striker in the rematch.

Hurd and Kamara is just a fricking nasty duo. Hurd might be the toughest runner in the conference and he looked a step faster than last year. Did anyone see him blow up that DE in pass protection?
Kamara is stronger in between the tackles than I expected and has home run speed.Combine that with Dobbs' running ability and I think teams are going to have a lot of trouble slowing down our running game this year.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is how smart Dobbs seemed with the football. Last year, he had a tendency to force things that werent there and that would get him in trouble. I didn't see any of that Saturday and zero turnovers is always nice.

He gets better every year. I think he looked like a complete QB in game 1. The big knock on him up to this point has been consistency in the pass game. His accuracy and timing looked improved and his mechanics look more fluid IMO. He has a chance to be special with a good OL and the skill players he's surrounded with. I thought he and Hurd both looked a step faster from last season as well.

It was a fun offensive performance to watch. Definitely an up tempo spread, but very different than what you guys are running. How about Chavis in game 1? The guy is a winner man. Congrats on the W

You can feel the energy around Knoxville for the OU game already. I'm loving it. It's going to be interesting to see what we throw at OU on both sides of the ball.

A few things I thought after the game:

-Coleman Thomas played very good and looked better/stronger/more athletic than anything Mack Crowder did at any point last year.

-J. Jennings is going to be a player for us. I liked how they got him involved in the offense. Nice hands and speed for a true freshman.

-J. Kelly was a lot faster and more agile than I thought he would be. He's going to make a good #3 this season. He needs to add some weight but he has good speed and has some really nice wiggle.

-The defense looked better when TK Jr. entered the game in the 2nd half. I thought we looked more settled and comfortable.

-Darrin Kirkland Jr. looked better than Jumper, but it sounds like Jumper does a better job at getting the defense lined up and making the correct calls. Hopefully DK Jr. can get that part of his game down as I think he's hands down the better option going forward.

-The run game looked really good and is going to win us some games this season.

-Ethan Wolfe looked good at TE. Him and Ellis looked good flexed out and in blocking game.

-WR looked good outside of the Malone drop for a big gain down the right side of the field. Getting Pig back this week and getting North involved should help us with OU.

-The defense has a lot to work on from the DL back to the secondary. Not a lot of push from the DL and the CB/S play way flat out bad some times. Have to get much better there. Getting TK Jr. back 100% should be a big boost for the OU game. We looked more confident and in sync when he took over during the 2nd half. We're going to need Justin Martin to step up now that he's getting healthy and take Foreman's starting spot or NB is a spot that concerns me.

I'll give credit where it's due and say that BGSU has a good little squad for a MAC team. I think they have a good shot to compete for their conference with Johnson at QB. Announcers seemed to think he's going to have a good chance to play in the league with some of the throws he was making. I'll be surprised if BGSU's coach doesn't land a big gig before it's all said and done. The guy can coach and did a good job getting his guys ready

Jalen Hurd just enjoys annihilating people. It doesn't matter if he has the ball or not:
